Vimos pelo presente apresentar a composição de argamassa a realizar em central de betão e a quantidade de
espuma a produzir e inserir pela obra por m3 de forma a garantir um betão celular com massa volúmica até
1000 kg/m3 (conforme NP EN 12390-7).

Em central é produzida uma argamassa com cimento, areia, água conforme dosagens indicadas no Quadro 1,
que é descarregada em autobetoneira na quantidade que lhe permita comportar a adição em obra da espuma e

De seguida, a autobetoneira segue para a obra onde, a equipa de obra, com um gerador de espuma produz a
espuma para o interior da cuba da autobetoneira no volume de espuma alvo indicado no Quadro 1, misturando
até obtenção de uma mistura homogénea.

Foaming agent for flowable fill, light weight mortars and concrete
DESCRIPTION
Mapeair LA/L is a foaming agent for entraining high volumes of air in cement mixes, especially recommended for
producing light weight mortar, light weight concrete and flowable fill.
WHERE TO USE
Mapeair LA/L produces light, easily pumpable mortar and concrete with high stability and cohesion.
Mapeair LA/L allows to make mixtures that are extremely fluid and with low amount of water. It reduces density and
eliminates the risk of segregation.
Mapeair LA/L is especially recommended for:
· preparing mortar and concrete with natural and artificial light aggregates (pumice, expansive clay, polystyrene) with high
insulating capacity;
· preparing high stability super-fluid mortar and concrete with a low modulus of elasticity and tensile strength;
· filling ground cuts after laying pipe.
Some application examples
· Lightweight mortar for filling spaces in hollow wall masonry.
· Inerting of cavity.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Mapeair LA/L is a blend of special surfactant developed by MAPEI for producing high percentage of still air in cement
mixtures.
Mapeair LA/L is especially effective for producing air entrained mortars and flowable fill after laying pipe.
The air entrainment action of Mapeair LA/L produces fluid mixtures that need no manual or mechanical compaction,
characterized by absolute dimensional stability when cured (no settling occurs when the trench is filled).
The flowable fill made with Mapeair LA/L:
· fills the ditch excavations perfectly and also provides a perfect seal for pipe joints;
· enables the excavation site to be quickly reopened to traffic. Only 24 hours after pouring, the mix reaches on average a
resistance to deformation equal to that of compacted soil, and after 48 hours it reaches the performance level of a
hydraulically bound base;
· can be easily removed during maintenance or substitution of pipes and cables. Because concrete made with Mapeair
LA/L has only moderate resistance to tensile and shearing stress, the hardened material can be easily removed.
PACKAGING
Mapeair LA/L is available in bulk, 200 lt drum, 1000 l IBC and 25 kg jerrycan.
STORAGE
Store Mapeair LA/L for 12 months closed containers, protect from frost and exposure to direct sunlight.

HOW TO USE
In case of light weight concrete production (< 900 kg/m³) Mapeair LA/L has to be mixed in water and stirred through a
mechanical foam generator. The foam volume produced will vary according to the dosage of the product, water amount
and type of foam generator used.
In other applications add Mapeair LA/L into the mixture with water, by using the proper dispenser.
