On a trip to the country, trouble brewed when young Timmy was served a double
scoop of ice cream. With a touch of mischief, he called over his cousin Lucy,
who was happily munching on her nourishing carrot. As the southern sun dipped
low over the country fields, the ice cream — rich vanilla and strawberry —
began to melt faster than Timmy could eat it.
Of course, trouble was never far behind. As Timmy tried to share the dripping
scoops, a glob of strawberry landed on Lucy’s shoe. She squealed, hopping
around the porch steps, while Timmy laughed so hard he nearly dropped the rest
of the cone.
Lucy didn't get mad, instead, she grabbed Timmy’s hand and led him down the
worn path toward the old oak tree. “Come on!” she shouted over her shoulder.
"Let’s wash my shoe in the creek!"
Timmy went to the country to visit his cousin. The hot sun in the south made him
want a cold treat. He got a double scoop of ice cream with a couple of
strawberries on top. Timmy tried to touch the cone carefully, but it broke and
made trouble. Ice cream dripped down his hand and onto the ground. His cousin
helped him clean up the mess then they sat in the shade and ate what was left.
