OBJECTIVES

Through varied activities, the Grade 4 Learners with at least 75% accuracy are
expected to;
A. define the critical thinking;
B. appreciate the importance of critical thinking through problem solving; and
C. apply critical thinking in real life scenario.

III. PROCEDURE
A. Awareness
(4 pics one word)
Directions: Identify the word in each item using the four pictures shown
as
a clue.
B. Activity
Before we proceed to our activity lest have first the classroom rules;
Activity 1: Jigsaw Puzzle
Direction: The teacher will divide the class into 4 groups. Each groups
have 1 Jigsaw puzzle. Arrange the puzzle and the first group who finish first
have corresponding points and so on to the other groups.
Group 1 (1st to finish): 5 points
Group 2 (2nd to finish): 4 points
Group 3 (3rd to finish): 3 points
Group 4 (4th to finish): 2 points
(In order to solve the puzzle what is the skills need you to apply or develop)

C. Analysis
Critical thinking is the process of analyzing information to make a
judgment or come to a conclusion. It is a disciplined way of thinking that
involves questioning, evaluating, and interpreting information from a variety of
sources. Critical thinking is important in many industries and can be applied to
a wide range of positions.
Here are the characteristics of critical thinking:
Analytical: Critical thinking involves analyzing information, assumptions,
and biases.
Objective: Critical thinking involves evaluating ideas without bias.
Creative: Critical thinking often involves creativity and innovation.
Open-minded: Critical thinking involves tolerating ambiguity and
considering other interpretations.

Activity 2: Word scrabble
Direction: Each group have 1 scrabble word. The first group who finish
first have corresponding points and so on to the other groups. Find the hidden
words. The words have been placed horizontally or vertically. When you
locate a word, draw a circle around it.
Group 1 (1st to finish): 5 points
Group 2 (2nd to finish): 4 points
Group 3 (3rd to finish): 3 points
Group 4 (4th to finish): 2 points
