After assessing your classmates/partner slogan, and creating your
rubrics, answer the following questions:
1. How did you come up with the rubrics you created?
I came up with the rubrics by first thinking about what the main goals of the
assignment were and what skills or knowledge were most important to show. I wanted
to make sure the criteria were clear, fair, and connected directly to what we learned. I
also thought about the different levels of performance, from really strong work to
work that might still need some improvement, so that the rubric could help give good
feedback, not just a grade. Overall, I tried to keep it simple, specific, and useful for
both me and whoever would be using it.
2. Did your partner meet the theme and your rubrics? (Name of your Partner and your
grade for him/her)
Based on the rubric I made, I would say Korina did a really great job. Her
slogan was clear and easy to understand, so for Clarity, I would rate her as Good. For
Relevance, her slogan was slightly connected to the theme of fitness being a lifestyle,
so again Good. In terms of Creativity, her work it out because of the drawings, colors,
and unique slogan, so I would also give her and Good there. For Completeness, she
captured half the idea of fitness with progress and confidence so that's another Good .
Finally, for Memorability, her slogan was slightly catchy but in some parts it will be
not memorable, so I would put her in the Fair category. Overall, I would grade Korina
19/25 in all the criteria!
3. What is the importance of rubrics in any performance or activity?
Rubrics are important because they give a clear guide on what is expected
and how the work will be judged. They make everything more fair because everyone
knows what to aim for and how they will be graded. Rubrics also help me stay
focused while working because I can check if I'm meeting all the important parts.
Plus, after the activity, they make it easier to understand what I did well and what I
can still improve, instead of just getting a random grade without any explanation.
