Getting to Know You Glyph
1. Color your favorite color.
2. Color to indicate your favorite subject:
Math: Blue
Social Studies: Yellow
Science: Purple
Reading: Pink
Writing: Green
3. Color to indicate your birth month:
Jan/Feb: Red
Mar/Apr: Orange
May/Jun: Yellow
Jul/Aug: Green
Sep/Oct: Blue
Nov/Dec: Purple
4. Draw a shape to indicate your pets:
Circle for no pets
Triangle for a dog
Quadrilateral for a cat
Pentagon for a different kind of pet.
5. Draw stripes if you went on a trip this summer, no stripes if you did not. You may choose
any color.
6. Draw a star for each year you have been at Castro Middle School. (Count this year as
one.) Color the star any color you like.
7. Draw a heart for each sibling you have. Color them as follows:
Older Brother: Red
Older Sister: Orange
Twin Brother: Green
Twin Sister: Blue
Younger Brother: Purple
Younger Sister: Pink
*If you are an only child, color this entire section yellow.
