NARRATIVE REPORT ON SCHOOL-BASED LEARNING ACTION CELL 2022
The School - Based Learning Action Cell started with an audio visual prayer and followed by singing
of the National Anthem. The opening remarks was then given by Mrs. Leticia L. Apolinario. House rules
were given by Mr. Joemar D. Verdadero, followed by the presentation of the participants and resource
speakers by Ms. Bernie I. Coplanga. Right the training proper, the statement of purpose was given by Mrs.
Felimar A. Manaligod, Teacher In-Charge of Babaran Elementary School.
The first facilitator, Mrs. Carmelita M. Deocaris discussed her topic “Exploration of Blended
Learning to reading instruction.” She introduced the different types of Blended learning and their
appropriateness in teaching and developing the literacy domains.
The second facilitator, Mrs. Marites T. Verdadero discussed her topic “Strategies for Decoding
Fluency and Comprehension.” She introduced the different strategies to the key stage-1 on learning to
read.
The third facilitator, Mrs. Leticia L. Apolinario discussed her topic “Developing Macro Skills:
Through a competence -based learning. She started her topic with the techniques, strategies and activities
in developing macro skills; apply integrative and competence-based teaching to develop the macro skills
in learners.
The fourth facilitator, Ms. Mary Rose B. Panganiban discussed her topic “Adapting a New
Approach in Reading Remediation.” At the end of her lecture the teachers developed a sample reading
intervention in the new normal.
The last facilitator, Mr. Darwin J. Saet discussed his topic “Bridging Languages: Approach to
improving comprehension.” He explained how to make resources for vernacular language development
and bridging to English.
After discussing the topics, creating output followed. Participants were given the tasks to create
different interventions in reading. They enjoyed the activities and the session as well. After the successful
training proper, a token of recognition was awarded to the facilitators, program managers team and
certificates of participation to all participating teachers.
The proponent of the School - Based Learning Action Cell gave the closing remark at he
end the program.
