1)Introduction
The purpose of this report is to show the process I went through to determine a suitable enterprise
project to start for my Enterprise coursework. I looked in detail at two possible options in order to
choose one. Considering whether it was were viable, profitable, if I have what it requires to start the
project.
2)Evaluation of options
Option 1 – Gift bags
2.1.1Summary of idea
Gift bag are affordable yet also can protect goods and can be satisfying .For this project my group
and I have 3 different types of gift bags (Candy gift bag, Sanitary gift bags and Stationary gift bags).
We will then use paper and card box to create our gift bags and we will also create designs to paste
on our gift bags To make them unique and satisfying .Once the gift bag is done, we will need to put
Goods before they are ready to be sold.

2.1.3 Analysis-PEST,SWOT
PEST
Political factors
Economic factors
We are at a
disadvantage because
our possible
customers are
unemployed and relay
on their parents
therefore our possible
customers might not
be able to afford our
gift bag.
Social factors
Since people In our
generation mostly like
Y2k taste meaning we
might have to design
our gift bags in a y2k
style.
Technological factors
The role of the
internet is very
important because we
will be able to
advertise our gift bags
on social media.
Weakness
We might have to use
our hands to produce
the gift bags so
production level might
Opportunities
Gift bags are not
common therefore
demand might be high
Threat
SWOT
Strengths
Since I have savings
we will be able to use
some of the money to
start the enterprise
and pay for
unexpected costs
be slow because of
lack of machinery
Gift bags are satisfying
therefore we might
attract customers
2.1.4Evaluation of comment
This could be a lucrative business (profitable business), we having sufficient funds, having the
needed devices for marketing through the internet may be an advantage, however us having no
machinery may mean the level of production might be low due to not having machinery and using
our hand.
Option2-Recycling
2.2.1 Summary of idea
Recycling is very important .Recycling is very important as it keeps the earth alive and clean .Doing
this project may not only benefit us but may also clean our school.
The purpose of this project is to keep our learning environment clean and healthy for learning.
However this project is a social enterprise as the money will be going to charity.
2.2.2 Research findings

are as from are different grades and age.
Later I did a survey.

2.2.3 Analysis- PEST and SWOT
Political factors
Health and safetyPicking up tins may be
a way to risk your
health because you
might not know who
has touched it ,if they
were sick ,so this may
be a limiting factor.
Economic factors
Donating to charity
might be difficult
because 100% of the
possible participants
are unemployed
meaning they might
not have money to
donate for charity.
Social factors
Lifestyle and issuesThis year our break
between lessons has
been reduced to 15
minuets,and school
people have to go for
tutors, afternoon
adctivities so meaning
they might not be
enough time to start
the event
Technological factors
Through the use of
the internet we are
able to ask students
from our school to
bring cans from home
so that we don’t only
get cans from our
school but more from
outside the school
Strength
Us having transport is
a strength because we
do not have to pay for
transport.
Weakness
If we do not get at
least a 1kg of cans we
can not sell them
because in Botswana
cans are sold per kg
Opportunities
They has been an
constant increase in
students therefore
more tins been used
during break
Threat
