Education has emerged as a fundamental pillar for personal development and national economic
progress. Responding to this importance, educational institutions across Nepal have been
expanding, offering diverse and market-oriented courses tailored to the evolving demands of the
workforce.
Tribhuvan University (TU), recognized as one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in
Nepal, plays a significant role in providing higher education. The Faculty of Management (FOM)
under TU launched the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program in 1996 to address
the increasing interest in management studies. This program focuses on holistic student
development through practical learning approaches such as field visits, report writing,
presentations, and a compulsory internship.
In the current competitive employment landscape, academic qualifications alone are often
insufficient. Employers increasingly prioritize candidates with practical experience, as it helps
develop essential professional traits like adaptability, confidence, and problem-solving abilities.
To meet this need, the BBA program incorporates an internship component as a partial
requirement for graduation, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world
business settings.
An internship was conducted at Kanishka Marketing Pvt. Ltd., Kalanki. This report outlines the
company’s operational environment and organizational structure. Furthermore, it explores how
the internship contributed to understanding business processes, analyzing workplace dynamics,
and addressing challenges encountered in professional scenarios providing valuable insights into
the application of academic concepts in real-life contexts.
