Both the midterm and final exams will be conducted offline.
Midterm Exam Date: May 15, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Final Exam Date: June 12, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
These exam dates are fixed, and students who are unable to take the exams for
any reason will receive an F grade. Please ensure you check your schedule
before enrolling in this course.

Ⅰ. Course Overview
1. Course Description
This course will help business major students to get a better understanding of the fundamental theories
about business statistics.
Business statistics class help to
- understand the importance of data-driven business decisions
- understand the basic role of probability in business decision making
- learn how to summarize and analyze the data
- learn the basics of business decision-analysis

There is no prerequisite.

Explanation of course format:
1) Explain the basic concept and theory by using lecture notes.
2) Do the practical exercise by using Excel
This class will be taught in English(online)/Korean(offline). Lecture videos will be updated every week

Explanation of evaluation system:
1) Mid term exam 40%,
Final exam 50%,
- Any type of scholastic dishonesty during the exam will result in F grade.
- Missed exam without asking me for an excuse in advance will be marked as ‘F’.
- If you have any special occasions on the exam date, please let me know in advance.
2) Attendance and participation 10%
Being late: - 0.5point, Absent: -1 point
The statement must be submitted at least a week ahead in case you have any special excuse
If students miss more than one third of the class throughout the semester (3 weeks or more), F grade will be
given according to the University regulations.
3) ALL STUDENTS ENROLLED IN THIS CLASS ARE ASSUMED TO AGREE WITH ALL POLICIES
