PLANNING PHASE
Our project is about the parts of a plant and how they work together to produce
photosynthesis. It is relevant because plants play a fundamental role in sustaining life
on Earth. Our project is creative and innovative because we will use a digital Canva
presentation with interactive visuals, animations, and simple explanations to make
learning engaging.
Objectives
We intend to create an Canva presentation to show how each part of a plant
works: roots, stem, leaves, and flowers. We will also explain how photosynthesis
happens and why it is essential for plants and all living beings.
Methodology
First, we researched the parts of a plant and photosynthesis using our science
materials and online sources. Then, we planned the Canva presentation by organizing
key topics. We are using images, animations, and simple explanations to make the topic
easy to understand. Alongside this, we created a small plant model with recycled
materials to better visualize the plant structure.
DEVELOPMENT PHASE
Phase 1:
We studied the parts of a plant and photosynthesis using our science book and
online sources. We then planned our Canva presentation, deciding on the key topics
we would include: roots, stem, leaves, flowers, and the photosynthesis process. After
discussing, we decided to use animations to explain how sunlight, carbon dioxide, and
water transform into food for the plant.
Phase 2:
We started designing our Canva slides. We chose colors, fonts, and images to
make the presentation engaging. We worked on the slides about the roots and the
stem, explaining their functions. Some of us focused on finding clear images, while
others worked on writing short and simple explanations.
Phase 3:
Today (03/06/2025), we reviewed and improved our Canva slides based on our
teacher’s feedback. We added more images, simplified some explanations, and
reorganized the slides. We also included a final summary slide explaining how all parts
of the plant work together for photosynthesis.
FINAL PHASE
Our project is ready! We created a digital Canva presentation explaining the
parts of a plant and how photosynthesis happens. The slides are colorful and easy to
understand. We used simple words, and images to make the topic fun and engaging.
In our final presentation, we explained the function of the roots, stem, leaves, and
flowers, and how they all work together to support photosynthesis. The presentation
format helps students learn visually, making scientific concepts easier to understand.
Our goal was to make learning about plants a interesting experience. Now, we are
happy to share our work with others and help them appreciate the importance of plants
for life on Earth.
