HW check
1-3. Graphing Linear
Equations
Graph using the x and y intercepts
Find slope
Graph using the y-intercept and
slope (slope-intercept form)
Find the zeros of a function.
This is in General form.
Ex. 1. Graph 3x – y - 2 = 0
Slope Formula
Example 2. Given the Average
rate of change is the slope of a
line containing points
(1900, 37.5) and (1994, 2.5)
Find the slope of the line.
Standard form, Slopeintercept form.
Ex. 3 Graph y = ¾ x -2
Find the zeros of a function.
The values for which f(x) = 0 are
called the zeros of the function.
So, really we are finding the x-intercepts!!!
What have we discussed?
