DOMINGO DISTRICT BICAL NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL A NARRATIVE AND ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT ON THE CONDUCT OF FIRE SAFETY INSPECTION BY THE BUREAU OF FIRE PROTECTION March 14, 2023 I.INTRODUCTION Fire strikes anytime anywhere. So, fire safety and preventions are very important. Awareness is the key to lesson and minimize the number of fire destruction and deaths. Bical National High School conducted orientation and meetings every month of March and also to celebrate the Fire Prevention. II.OBJECTIVES The objectives are as follows: a. To know how to reduce fire risks, deal with fires if appropriate, escape safely in the event of fire and b. To evaluate the readiness and awareness of the learners and DepEd and c. To evaluate the school facility for a possible cause of fire. personnel on fire safety and prevention. III.HIGHLIGHTS OF ACCOMPLISHMENT Relative to 2023 Fire Prevention Month Theme: “Sa Pag-Iwas sa Sunog, Hindi ka Nag-Iisa.”, Bical National High School conducted the “2023 School Symposium on Fire Safety and Prevention” on March 14, 2023 at exactly 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon. Before the day the conduct of the symposium / orientation regarding fire prevention, the School Watching Team together with the Grade 12 General Academic Strand students and DRRM Coordinator, secure the area of the said program. The symposium was headed by the team of the Bureau of Fire Prevention of Sto. Domingo. The discussion is all about the possible causes of fire, how can a school and pupil to prevent fire and also the safety precautions before, during and after a fire. The focus and highlights of the symposium was the actual demonstration in operating fire extinguisher. The team of BFP Sto. Domingo gave opportunities to some pupils of Bical National High School to use and operate fire extinguishers with their supervision. The symposium on fire safety and prevention in Bical National High School was successfully conducted. It was participated by 21 teachers and students from grades 7 to 12 and 2 non-teaching personnel.
