of people go hungry every day despite
the world producing enough food. In
this presentation, we will explore the
causes, consequences, and solutions
to food insecurity.
Causes of Food Inequality and Hunger
 Food inequality happens when some people have access to
plenty of food while others struggle to get enough. The main
causes include:
 1️⃣ Poverty – Many people cannot afford nutritious food due to
low income.
 2️⃣ Climate Change – Droughts, floods, and extreme weather
conditions damage crops and reduce food availability.
 3️⃣ Food Waste – About one-third of all food produced globally is
wasted, while millions go hungry.
Causes
 4️⃣ Conflict & Wars – Wars disrupt food production and supply
chains, making food expensive or inaccessible.
 5️⃣ Poor Food Distribution – Some regions produce surplus food
while others suffer shortages, leading to unequal access.
Consequences of Food Inequality and Hunger
Hunger and food insecurity have serious effects on
people and communities:
 📌 Malnutrition & Health Issues – Lack of proper
nutrition weakens the immune system, stunts
children's growth, and causes diseases.
 📌 Economic Struggles – People facing hunger cannot
work efficiently, leading to job loss and deeper poverty.
 📌 Social Unrest – Food shortages often cause protests
and conflicts, increasing instability.

resources due to unsustainable farming leads to
