1. Objective of the experiment The main objective of the force table experiment is to analyse the principles of vector addition and equilibrium of forces.More specifically by manipulating the magnitudes and directions of forces in order to observe how these quantities combine. 2. Description of tools and equipments used 3. Equipment Description ME_9447 Force Table A circular table with degree markings which is used to apply forces at different angles. 4 Pulleys and Pulley Clamps Small wheel like system attached to edges of the Force table which are used t oguid ethe strings which will be holding the weights. Mass hangers Serve purposoe of supporting the weights which will be suspended by the strings and the pulleys. Weights Used to apply known forces. Strings Connects the weights to the central ring Central ring A small ring which will experience the force of all the vectors. Activities Undertaken "Since three out of the four masses were given, we needed to determine the mass and angle of the fourth force to achieve equilibrium, ensuring the central ring remained precisely at the center of the force table. Using a trial-and-error approach, we adjusted the weight on the hanger and fine-tuned the pulley angle. Our initial estimate, based on pre-calculations, was 95.7118g at 321.760°. However, after applying these theoretical values, the ring was not perfectly centered. To correct this, we incrementally reduced the mass by approximately 2g and adjusted the angle until equilibrium was achieved at 93.79g and 322.1°."
