H2S in gas Cylinders is the only acceptable practice for generating H2S (Purity shall be 99.5% minimum). The used nitrogen shall be minimum
industrial grade, 99.5% pure

The control samples shall be provided by the manufacturer / vendor and demonstrate a CLR of at least 20% in solution "A" for the test
parameters to be considered acceptable, only after this shall the actual specimens be evaluated
(4)
The rate of bubbling shall be at least 200 ml per minute, per liter of test solution for at least 60 minutes; thereafter a positive pressure maintained
for the reminder of the test of H2S gas
(5)
Adequate ventilation, permanent H2S monitors located by the entry door and inside near the test setup (near ground level), alarm system with
flashing light and horn, gas masks with either oxygen or proper cartridges, and safe disposal of spent solutions and chemicals
(6)
Plates procured from stockiest shall be verified by HIC testing. The original Mill test certificate shall be verified by the company representative to
meet 01-SAMSS-016.

As per 01-SAMSS-016, Specimens intended for HIC testing shall be in the same heat treatment condition of the plates after manufacturing, one
cycle only of (Stress relieving) of the HIC specimens at a minimum temperature of 593#C for 1 hour/1 inch is deemed acceptable if declaration from
the fabricator is obtained confirming the application of PWHT on the Storage Tanks, Fittings or Pressured Equipment subsequent to fabrication
process. The additional two stress relieving cycles mandated by 32-SAMSS-004 for mechanical testing shall not be applied on the HIC specimens,
therefore shall be carried out in separate mechanical test.
