There is nothing new, I am not a big fan of supplements. For
years, my message and mission stays the same: Nutrition should
be the main focus when it comes to building muscle or burning
fat. Period.
One of the other major
problems I have with the
supplement industry are
falsely hyped up claims
about "miraculous" results
with their products giving
you the false hope that
your body will turn into a
fitness model's or a bodybuilder’s within a couple
weeks of using their
"miracle pill" or “magic powder’’.

Well, we all know by now that most of these products do very
little, if anything to actually create results in the body. Even if
some of them have minor positive effects, it does not address
the underlying cause of the problem in the first place, and results will never last in the long run without lifestyle changes to
both your exercise and nutrition habits as a whole.
“ Results take effort and
dedication. If you don’t have
proper exercise and
nutrition habits, supplements won’t do anything for
you…”
Also, your body does not properly absorb nutrients from artificial
sources as is common with many supplements and vitamins.
Most people overlook this problem when buying vitamins and
supplements.

Another problem I have with typical supplements is this: the
normal scenario when someone buys supplements is that they
may go to their local supplement/vitamin store and they are
given advice by some high school kid or an out of shape person
making $7/hr who has no education whatsoever in nutrition
Do you really want to put your health in the hands someone
who is simply telling you that you need to get such and such
supplement because he saw something about how great it was
in a magazine advertisement?

Ever since the passing of the 1994 Dietary Supplement and
Health Education Act (DSHEA) in the US, supplements have
been excluded from federal regulation. One of the negative aspects of this is that certain unscrupulous companies could now
pretty much get away with putting anything they wanted in the
bottle because it did not have to undergo quality control testing
to make it to market. Their label didn't even have to match what
was in the bottle, since nobody is policing them.
So now, all the supplements company come out with new BS
supplements full of magic powers and boosted by “secret blend”.
And you know why they try to hide the content of their “secret
blend” listed on their supplement label?
to hide the fact the formula contains very little of the active ingredients listed on the bottle in an attempt to fool consumers.
Sad but true...They see a long list of seemingly impressive ingredients listed in the “blend” none of which are there in amounts
that will have any effects. This is commonly referred to as “label
decoration” by industry insiders.
So how does the consumer tell the difference? They can’t.

This problem is as simple as this: if you're eating
right, you don’t need them…
The fact is, you don't need supplements as long as you eat a
well rounded diet full of unprocessed whole natural foods, lots of
variety, high nutrient density, lots of fruits, veggies, whole
grains, eggs, beans, nuts, seeds, meats, fish, etc…
Most people make excuses like they don't have time or simple
don't make enough of an effort to eat properly. In this case, I
concede that supplementation has many benefits for people who
struggle to eat right all of time and may be missing many essential nutrients.
But don’t blame anybody for your lack of commitment towards
your health…
I could have all the excuses in the world too… I just chose to be
healthy, too bad if you don’t…
A meal plan is easy to fallow as long are you are willing to be organized…
So now, take action and go
check out the meal plans I am
giving away with Anabolic
Cooking...

The final question is now : Is there any supplement or supplements that are worth using?
Well, the answer is YES! And I decided to make life easier for
you and list the 5 Supplements I use everyday...
Please do not send me emails asking me, "What about Fat Burners?" or "What about Nitric Oxyde and Tribulus?"
If you do not see it on the list than I have not used it (or I may
have and would never recommend it because of poor experience). I have carefully made my selections and these are my
“final answers”.
So STOP flushing down your hard earned money and fallow my
advices, you won’t be sorry…
You’ll save a boat load of cash
and more importantly you will
get the results you want…

My Top 5 Supplements
#1 Protein Powder
You can get plenty of protein in your diet,
but protein powder has other advantages:
It's convenient and generally lower in calories than an entire "high protein" meal.
Drinking a protein shake after every workout speeds muscle recovery and supplies your body with the amino acids needed for
muscle growth. There are two widely used proteins: whey and
casein. Whey is absorbed more quickly by the body, while casein
is digested slowly-providing the body with a longer-lasting supply of muscle-building nutrients. That's why many researchers
recommend taking a mixture of the two to help sustain the release of amino acids into the blood for as long as possible.
Recommended Brands:
Contrary to all the advertising and marketing hype, one brand of
protein powder is really no better then another brand. When it
comes to real world results they all work equally as well. Just
choose a protein powder that you like the taste of and enjoy
drinking… Just make sure the protein you buy has about
25grams of protein per scoop, 2 grams or less carbs and 2
grams or less fat per scoop.

#2 Creatine
This synthetic version of an energy source produced naturally in
the body is stored in the muscles for use during exercise. And it
works! Multiple studies show that creatine does help speed recovery and the growth of lean-muscle mass after a workout.
Manufacturers used to agree that new creatine users should
start with a weeklong "loading phase" of 20 grams per day;
however, recent research shows that this isn't necessary.
There are too many fancy creatine supplements out there, resulting in many people forgetting about simple, powdered
creatine. This is all I use and recommend for you I use creatine
during and after my workout (10g during and 10g after)
Recommended Brands:
No need to be fancy, just make sure you are buying Pure
Creatine Monohydrate (by far the best bang
for the buck).

#3 Glutamine
Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid found in muscle tissue. It helps prevent muscle wasting and improves recovery.
The better and quicker your recovery, the sooner and harder you
can hit it in the gym! Glutamine is safe to take year-round.
I take glutamine with creatine during and after my workouts
(10g during, 10g after).
Recommended Brands:
Just like for creatine, no need to
be fancy, anything cheap and in
powder form.

#4 Essential Fatty Acids
Essential Fatty Acids cannot be manufactured in the body, but
are critical to health and metabolism. So we are required to provide our bodies with this essential nutrient through our diet. And
the type of essential fatty acid which is most important is the
Omega 3.
Here are just a few of the many health benefit of EFA’s: improved concentration and memory, protection for cell membranes, healthy nervous system function, improvement in cholesterol, support a strong immune system, a healthy heart, fights
the damaging effects of aging, and many more
Recommended Brands:
BE AWARE: This is not the time to go cheap.
Cheap fish-oil supplements taste like fish
and can leave you hick-uping herring all
day.
That’s why I recommend Prograde EFA Icon
with Krill Oil. Krill Oil (the main ingredient in
EFA Icon) has been found to be a much higher
quality Essential Fatty Acid than lesser grade Fish Oils typically
sold in stores. In fact, studies have shown it is has over 47 times
the antioxidant power of fish oil!
I have been using this brand for a few years now. By far
the best on the market…

#5 Multivitamin
It's nothing new, but it is a must for everyone who doesn't get
enough fruits and vegetables. Rather than mega doses of nutrients, look for one pill that provides 100% of your daily requirements for as many different vitamins and minerals as possible.
Multi's are a must for any body with muscle building hopes and
healthy living. Every metabolic reaction in our body occurs from
the inside out, which means muscle building and fat loss begins
internally and progresses externally (visually). Consider that
magnesium is responsible for over 300 metabolic reactions in
your body.
If you are deficient in just one mineral or vitamin, you will never
reach your fullest potential.
Recommended Brands:
Prograde VGF 25+ (25 because there
are over 25 WHOLE FOOD concentrates
from natures most powerful fruits and
vegetables) is by far the Multivitamin I
would recommend. I like this product because they are not like
synthetic vitamin pills engineered in a lab.
The founders of Prograde use actual whole foods grown out of
the earth, which are more easily absorbed and used by your
body than a synthetic blend.
