Electrical
Components
Recessed Light: Ceiling-mounted, often LED lights, that
provide ambient or task lighting in rooms, hallways, and
communal spaces. LEDs are energy-efficient, cost-effective,
and align well with your eco-friendly goals.
Recessed Fluorescent Light: Fluorescent options are suitable
for utility or back-of-house areas, where bright, consistent
lighting is needed. Although energy-efficient, these are best
for non-guest-facing areas as LEDs are more versatile for
design.
Three-Gang Switch: This switch panel allows control of three
separate fixtures from a single location. Ideal for guest rooms
where you might have different lighting zones (e.g., main
lights, bedside lights, or accent lights), offering convenient
control.
Fan Dial Switch: A variable-speed dial switch to control ceiling
fans, allowing guests to adjust airflow based on their
preference. This helps with natural cooling, potentially
reducing air conditioning use.
Two-Gang Switch: This two-toggle switch is commonly used
for controlling two lighting zones in smaller spaces, like
bathrooms or hallways, where guests benefit from simple,
intuitive control.
Ceiling Fan: A sustainable, energy-efficient addition that
provides natural cooling, especially in tropical climates. Look
for quiet, multi-speed models to ensure comfort and easy
airflow adjustments for guests.
Two-Gang Convenience Outlet: A dual outlet (potentially with
USB ports) for charging devices or powering small appliances,
essential in guest rooms, lounges, or near workspaces. USBintegrated outlets can be particularly guest-friendly.
One-Gang Switch: A single-toggle switch used to control one
fixture, ideal for entryway lighting, bedside lamps, or
bathroom mirror lights. Its simplicity makes it easy for guests
to operate individual fixtures.
Fan Dial Switch: A variable-speed dial switch to control ceiling
fans, allowing guests to adjust airflow based on their
preference. This helps with natural cooling, potentially
reducing air conditioning use.
Panel Board: The main electrical distribution panel for the
property, responsible for routing power to various circuits. An
accessible and well-organized panel board is key to safely
managing the hotel’s power needs.
Communication
Devices
Smartphone: Used by staff for efficient communication and
guest services coordination. For guests, a hotel app or digital
concierge can be accessed through personal smartphones for
convenience and quick service requests.
Landline: Essential in guest rooms and front desk areas,
providing a direct way for guests to communicate with hotel
services or the front desk. Landlines also serve as emergency
contact points.
Router: Strategically placed routers ensure reliable, highspeed internet connectivity across the hotel, which is
essential for guest satisfaction, especially in rooms, lounges,
and workspaces.
Printer: Located in front desk areas or business centers for
guest and staff use. Printers are ideal for services like printing
boarding passes, itineraries, or important documents. Ecofriendly, ink-efficient printing options support the hotel’s
sustainability values.
