The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare is transforming the
role of nurse managers.
In the healthcare setting, clinicians, leaders, and providers often have a
varying understanding of artificial intelligence and its potential to support
workflows and enhance efficiencies.
AI healthcare use cases are limited to radiology, oncology, and cardiology to
assist with diagnostics; however, nursing is making a slower evolution.
Nurse managers quite often have the hardest role to manage in a healthcare
setting
Nurse leader's perceptions, drivers, and motivations for using technology can
significantly impact implementation and adoption.
Nurses and nurse leaders are cautiously excited about artificial intelligence
with concerns regarding privacy, ethical concerns, and the future role of AI
A competency program specifically designed for them will ensure they are
equipped with the necessary skills to effectively utilize AI tools for enhancing
patient care, streamlining operations, and improving team dynamics.
PURPOSE STATEMENT
AIM: To understand how nurse managers with relevant digital competencies perceive the usefulness of AI in
administrative workflows.
Research Question
