Mi Non Htaw Ah: The encourager of Mon Youth
Mi Non Htaw Ah, an activist for all Mon Youth,
developed the dignity of her nationality by starting
programmes for the education of youth. Her programmes
have been producing thousands of students who are at the
high stage of education. Her recent programmes have a
giant impact on people who are unable to speak, read,
write or listen in English.
Tr. Mi Non Htaw Ah has an official ID name,
Ma Nwe Ni Soe. Then, she also has a nickname, Choe.
This is the way to pronounce her last name, Soe in Mon.
She was born on January, 31, 1987, in original village,
Kaw Zar. She is the last-born daughter of Nai Mg Pye and Mi Win Hlaing. There are
three of her elder brothers. She has a family of nine including her husband and her
children.
Tr. Non Htaw attended from Wa Lone Than to the ninth grade in Kaw Zar,
which is her hometown. Wa Lone Than is a type of class that teaches children how
to write Burmese Alphabets. For the tenth grade, she went to the Mon National
School, which is situated in Andin. All the way from Wa Lone Than to Grade-9, she
won first prizes in every class. Due to her ongoing achievements, she still ranked in
the top three until matriculation.
Since she was a young girl, she had a passion for solving any problems until
it had been solved. Moreover, she likes to solve maths-related problems unless the
result had come out. This habit of hers is still there in her body. Tr said it is
overworking and overwhelming for ger. She holds a Bachelor of Science in
Physiology. Furthermore, she had a diploma in organisational skills that she got
when her daughter was seven years old. Soon, she will get her M.Ed for her postgraduate degree.
Beginning from her young age, she was short-tempered. She easily got furious
if she was teased by her family members and friends. Therefore, she has tried to
listen to music or read books to pull herself together. Also, that is the way to relax
herself until now. Her weakness is being unable to hurt some bod even that person
made many mistakes in the past. Her strength is working hard, being energetic as
well and enthusiastic. She is eager to be one supportive mum and teacher for
everybody. It is her long-term goal. Additionally, she also aimed to establish a private
university under the name of Dahrah. Her 3 projects, her short-term goals are to
promote Maxi Max, to develop the Dahrah Boarding School and to level up the
programmes at Dahrah Learning Centre.
She admired Nelson Mandela, who is the figure of South Africa. His
biographical books had encouraged her a lot throughout her work experiences. From
her overcome challenges, she has a quote for all students, known as “The more you
do, the more you get.” The books she read, the youths she encouraged and the
students she supported made her strong, independent and decisive.
To add it all up, Mi Non Htaw Ah is an individual who is inspirational and
independent for me as well as for every Mon Youth.
