About what are they asking one another? 2. About the Great News, 3. About which they are in disagreement. 4. Nay! Soon they will come to know. the Most Merciful. the Great, the Most Gracious, the News About In (the) name (of) Allah, are they asking one another? About what 1 5. Then, nay! Soon they will come to know. 6. Have We not made the earth a resting place? 7. And the mountains as pegs, Nay! (in) disagreement. (are) concerning it they 3 Have not (soon) they will know. 5 (About) which 2 (soon) they will know. Nay! Then 6 a resting place? the earth We made 4 8. And We created you in pairs, 9. And We made your sleep for rest, 7 (as) pegs, And the mountains 9 (for) rest, your sleep 10. And We made the night as covering, 11. And We made the day for livelihood, 12. And We constructed over you seven strong (heavens), And We placed 13. (therein) a burning lamp, And We made (for) livelihood, the day And We made And We placed 12 strong, And We sent 14. down, from the rain clouds, water pouring abundantly, water 15. That We may bring forth thereby grain and vegetation, and vegetation, grain (of) the Judgment (the) Day Indeed, 18. The Day the trumpet is blown and you will come forth in crowds, the trumpet in 19. And the heaven is opened and becomes gateways, and becomes the rain clouds (as) covering, the night And We made 10 seven (in) pairs, And We created you 8 over you from And We sent down thereby That We may bring forth And We constructed 13 14 burning, 11 a lamp pouring abundantly, 16. And gardens of thick foliage. Indeed, the Day 17. of Judgment is an appointed time, 20. And the mountains are moved and become a mirage. 20 is blown (of) thick foliage. Indeed, Hell is lying in wait, 22. For the transgressors, a place of return, They will remain 23. therein for ages. 24. They will not taste therein any coolness or any drink 25. Except scalding water and purulence, An appropriate 26. recompense. 27. Indeed, they were not expecting an account, 28. And they denied Our Signs with (an emphatic) denial. 29. And everything We have enumerated in a Book. 30. So taste (what you have earned), We will not increase you except in punishment. Indeed, for the 31. righteous is success, Gardens and 32. grapevines, 33. And well-matched, splendid companions, 34. And a full cup. 35. They will not hear therein any vain talk or any falsehood, 36. As a reward from your Lord, a gift (according to) account, 37. (From) the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Most Gracious; they do not have power from Him to address (Him). 38. The Day the Spirit and the Angels will stand in rows, they will not speak except he to whom the Most Gracious gives permission, and he will say what is correct. 39. That is the True Day. Indeed, We have 40. warned you of a punishment (that is) near, the Day when man will see what his hands have sent forth and the disbeliever will say, “O I wish! I were dust.” a return. 39 towards let him take (the) Day near and will say his hands have sent forth dust!” I were 40 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 1. By those who extract (the souls of the wicked) violently, 2. And those who draw out (the souls of the blessed) gently, 3. And those who glide (as if) swimming, 4. And those who race each other in a race, 5. And those who arrange the matter. 6. On the Day will quake (the earth) with a (terrible) quake, 7. And the subsequent (one) follows it, 8. Hearts, that Day, will palpitate, 9. Their eyes humbled. 10. They say, “Will we indeed be returned to the former state (of life)? 11. What! When we are decayed bones?” 12. They say, “Then that would be a losing return.” 13. Then it will only be a single shout, 14. And behold! They will be a wakened. 15. Has there come to you the story of Musa? his Lord (of) a punishment wills the True. So whoever Indeed We [We] have warned you what will see the man the disbeliever, “O I wish! Then as for him who transgressed, 38. And preferred the life of the world, 39. Then indeed, the Hellfire is (his) refuge. 40. But as for him who feared standing before his Lord and restrained his soul from the vain desires, 41. Then indeed, Paradise is (his) refuge. 42. They ask you about the Hour, when is its arrival? 43. In what (position) are you to mention it? 44. To your Lord is its finality. 45. You are only a warner for him who fears it. 46. The Day they see it, it will be as though they had not remained (in the world) except an evening or a morning thereof. to (him) who the Hellfire And preferred 37 (is) the refuge. it and restrained (before) his Lord, 35 transgressed, Then as for the Hellfire, standing it (is) Paradise - Then indeed, In what 42 (is) its arrival? Because there came to him the blind man (interrupting), 3. But what would make you know that he might be purified (of wrong beliefs), 4. Or be reminded so that the reminder would benefit him? 5. As for him who considers himself free from need, 6. To him you give attention. In (the) hands 15 a semen-drop He created him, what sheets (are) distracted. 10 26 Then He wills, He commanded him. And no (blame) is upon you if he does not purify himself. 8. But as for he who came to you striving, 9. While he fears (Allah), 10. From him you are distracted. 11. Nay! Indeed, it is a reminder, 12. So whosoever wills may remember it. 13. (It is recorded) in honored sheets, 14. Exalted, purified, 15. In the hands of scribes (i.e., Angels), 16. Noble, dutiful. 17. Destroyed is man, how ungrateful is he! 18. From what thing did He create him? 19. From a semen-drop He created him, then He proportioned him, 20. Then He made the way easy for him, 21. Then He causes him to die and provides a grave for him, 22. Then when He wills, He will resurrect him. 23. Nay! He (man) has not accomplished what He commanded him. 24. Then let man look at his food, 25. (How) We poured down water in abundance, 26. Then We cleaved the earth, splitting (it with sprouts), 27. Then We caused the grain to grow therein, 28. (As) a provision for you and for your cattle. But when the 33. Deafening Blast comes, 34. The Day a man will flee from his brother, 35. And his mother and his father, 36. And his wife and his children, 37. For each one of them, that Day, will be a matter occupying him. 38. (Some) faces that Day will be bright, 39. Laughing, rejoicing at good news. 40. And (other) faces, that Day, will have dust upon them, 41. Darkness will cover them. Those are the 42. disbelievers, the wicked ones. comes 32 and for your cattle. for you (As) a provision a man will flee (The) Day 33 the Deafening Blast, But when his brother, 34 from 36 and his children, And his wife 35 and his father, And his mother 37 occupying him. (will be) a matter that Day among them man For every that Day Faces, 39 rejoicing at good news. Laughing, darkness. Will cover them 40 the wicked ones. 42 (will be) bright, 38 (will be) dust, upon them that Day, And faces, (are) the disbelievers, [they] Those 41 Surah At-Takweer In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. When the sun is 1. wrapped up, 2. And when the stars fall, losing their luster 3. And when the mountains are moved away, 4. And when the full-term she-camels are left untended; And when the wild 5. beasts are gathered, 6. And when the seas are made to overflow, 7. And when the souls are paired (with their respective bodies) 8. And when the female infant buried alive is asked 9. For what sin she was killed. 10. And when the sky is stripped away, 12. And when the Hellfire is set ablaze, 13. And when Paradise is brought near, 14. A soul will (then) know what it has brought (with it). 15. But nay! I swear by the retreating planets, 16. Those that run (their courses) and disappear, 17. And the night when it departs, 18. And the dawn when it breathes (away the darkness), 19. Indeed, it is a word of a noble Messenger, 20. Possessor of power and with the Lord of the Throne secure (in position), 21. One to be obeyed and trustworthy, 22. And your companion is not mad. And certainly he 23. saw him in the clear horizon. And he is not a 24. withholder of the (knowledge of the) unseen. 25. And it is not the word of the accursed Shaitaan. 26. So where are you going? 27. It is not but a reminder to the worlds, 28. For whoever wills among you to take a straight way. 29. And you do not will except that Allah wills, Lord of the worlds. And when the seas are made to gush forth, scatter, the stars And when 3 And when (is) cleft asunder, 1 are made to gush forth, the seas the sky And when When 2 4. And when the graves are overturned, 5. A soul will (then) know what it has sent forth and left behind. 6. 7. O man! What has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Most Noble, Who created you, then fashioned you, then balanced you? 8. In whatever form He willed, He assembled you. 9. Nay! But you deny the Judgment. it has sent forth what a soul Will know has deceived you What man! created you, Who 6 what are overturned, the graves 4 O the Most Noble, form whatever In 7 the Judgment. you deny But Nay! and left behind. 5 concerning your Lord then balanced you? then fashioned you He assembled you. He willed, 8 10. And indeed, over you are guardians, 11. Noble, recording, recording, Noble (are) surely guardians, 10 over you And indeed, 9 12. They know whatever you do. 13. Indeed, the righteous will be in bliss, 14. And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. the righteous Hellfire. Indeed, you do. 12 (will be) surely in the wicked whatever And indeed, They know 13 bliss, 11 (will be) surely in 15. They will burn in it on the Day of Judgment, 16. And they will not be absent therefrom. 17. And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgment? 18. Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Judgment? 19. The Day when a soul will have no power at all for (another) soul, and the Command that Day will be (entirely) with Allah. And not what 15 (of) the Judgment, can make you know what can make you know a soul will have power 19 And what (will be) with Allah. Then, 17 (of) the Judgment? (The) Day 18 (of) the Judgment? (is the) Day that Day and the Command from it they (will be) absent. Surah Al-Mutaffifeen the Most Merciful. the Most Gracious, from they take a measure or they give by measure (to) them that they those will stand (The) Day But when Do not Woe they take in full, the people, 2 they give less. they weigh (for) them 3 Great, 5 to those who give less, 1 2. Those who, when they take a measure from people, take in full, In (the) name (of) Allah, when Those who think 1. Woe to those who give less (than due), For a Day (will be) resurrected, 4 3. But when they give by measure to them or they weigh for them, they give less. 4. Do they not think that they will be resurrected, 5. For a Great Day, 6. The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds? 7. Nay! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in Sijjin. (the) record what Indeed, Nay! (of) the worlds? 6 can make you know And what before (the) Lord (is) surely in (of) the wicked Sijjin. 7 mankind 8. A nd what can make you know what is Sijjin? 9. (It is) a written book. 10. Woe that Day to the deniers, 10 to the deniers, that Day can deny And not 11 to him are recited When But, Nay! 13 14 earn. they used to Then 15 “This it will be said, Woe 9 written. (of) the Judgment. (the) Day sinful. 12 (for) what 16 “Stories their hearts surely will be partitioned. that Day 8 deny transgressor every (of) the former (people).” Then A book he says, [over] their Lord (is) Sijjin? When Our Verses are recited to him, he says, “Stories of the former people.” Our Verses, 14. Nay! But the stain has covered their hearts for what they used to earn. (the) stain has covered 15. Nay! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned. Nay! 16. Then indeed, they will burn in the Hellfire. from Indeed, they (in) the Hellfire. (surely) will burn indeed, they Surah 83: Those who give less (v. 1-17) 11. Those who deny the Day of Judgment. 17. And what can make you know what is Illiyun? (the) record Indeed, Nay! 17 deny.” can make you know And what 18 Illiyin. those brought near. Witness it 20 written, [of it] (is) what you used to (will be) surely in (of) the righteous 20. (It is ) a written book, 21. Witnessed by those brought near (toAllah). 22. Indeed, the righteous will be in bliss, thrones On 24. You will recognize in their faces the radiance of bliss. (of) bliss. (the) radiance 25. They will be given to drink of a pure wine, sealed, Its seal 23. On thrones, observing. 28. A spring from which will drink those brought near (to Allah). from it, 29. Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed. at And when they 30. passed by them, they winked at one another. by them, And when they 31. returned to their people, they would return jesting. their people, 32. And when they saw them, they said, “Indeed, these have gone astray.” 33. But they had not been sent as guardians over them. 34. So today those who believed will laugh at the disbelievers, their faces sealed, the aspirers. 26 27. And its mixture is of Tasneem, will drink used to “Indeed, in You will recognize a pure wine of let aspire A spring, committed crimes they passed (is) Illiyun? what 19 bliss, (will be) surely in the righteous Indeed, 22 25 26. And when the earth is spread, is spread, 3 And has listened the earth And when and becomes empty, 4 and was obligated, 2 (is) in it And has cast out what 4. Indeed, you are laboring towards your Lord with (great) exertion, and you will meet Him. 7. Then as for him who is given his record in his right hand, in his right (hand), his record is given (him) who 8. I had sent forth (some good) for my life (of the Hereafter).” 25. So that Day none will punish (as severely as) He will punish. 26. And none will bind (as severely as) He will bind. 27. (It will be said to the righteous soul), “O satisfied soul! Return to your 28. Lord, well pleased and pleasing (Him). 29. So enter among My (righteous) slaves, And enter My 30. So their Lord destroyed them for their sins and leveled them (with the ground). 15. And He does not fear its consequences. And denies the best, towards [the] ease. Then We will ease him in the best, 6 10. Then We will ease him towards difficulty. towards [the] difficulty. Indeed, Not he falls. 11 (is) the Hereafter 14 Then We will ease him for Us when his wealth And indeed, blazing, (of) a Fire him 12 And denies the best, 9 will avail And not (is) the guidance. So I warn you 10 upon Us and the first (life). 13 11. And his wealth will not avail him when he falls. 12. Indeed, upon Us is the guidance. 13. And indeed, for Us is the Hereafter and the first (life). 14. So as for the orphan, do not oppress (him), 10. And as for one who asks, do not repel (him), 11. But as for the Favor of your Lord, narrate (it). 11 narrate. Indeed, to your Lord is the return. surely transgresses, your Lord to man 5 he knew. not what man self-sufficient. he sees himself That 6 Indeed, Nay! Indeed, 7 9. Have you seen the one who forbids 10. A slave when he prays? 11. Have you seen if he is upon guidance, 12. Or enjoins righteousness? 13. Have you seen if he denies and turns away? when A slave Or 11 forbids the one who Have you seen 9 [the] guidance, upon he is he denies if Have you seen If 14 sees? Allah if 10 he prays? [of the] righteousness? he enjoins Have you seen 12 (is) the return. 8 14. Does he not know that Allah sees? 15. Nay! If he does not desist, We ill surely drag him by the forelock, 16. A lying and sinful forelock. 17. Then let him call his associates, Nay! A forelock that he know Does not by the forelock, 15 17 his associates, (Do) not Nay! 13 surely We will drag him Then let him call and turns away? sinful. 16 not he desists, lying, 18. And does not feel the urge to feed the poor. 4. So woe to those who pray, 5. Those who are neglectful of their prayers, 6. Those who make show of (their deeds). 7. And they deny small kindnesses! So woe about [they] 7 the poor. 3 [they] Those who [the] small kindnesses. feed Those who 5 to those who pray, 4 (are) neglectful, And they deny 6 their prayers make show.
