4.1. First “Call for Input” for a new, modernised free trade agreement (FTA) between
Türkiye and the UK
A potential trade deal between the UK and Turkey in this product category could
involve discussions around reducing tariffs further to potentially boost trade volume
and deepen economic ties between the two countries.

4.2 . Second “Call for Input” for a new, modernised free trade agreement (FTA) between
Türkiye and the UK
Comparatively, Italy and Greece also have a presence in the UK market for processed cheese.
Greece exported $2,050 thousand of this product to the UK, holding a market share of 0.88%,
while Italy's exports stood at $266 thousand with a market share of 0.11%.
In this scenario, a potential trade agreement might focus on maintaining the existing trade
relationships rather than making substantial changes due to the already relatively low tariff
rates applied by both the UK and the supplier countries.
For Turkey, while the trade volume isn't high, discussions could involve exploring ways to
enhance trade relations through non-tariff measures or incentives to potentially increase
Turkish processed cheese exports to the UK.

4.3. Third “Call for Input” for a new, modernised free trade agreement (FTA) between
Türkiye and the UK
Given the similarity in the applied tariff rates and the absence of a preference margin, a trade
agreement might not immediately impact trade dynamics significantly in terms of tariff reduction or
facilitation between the UK and Turkey in this specific product category.
Meanwhile, Italy and Greece have more substantial market shares in the UK for uncooked pasta.
Greece exported $2,050 thousand worth of this product to the UK, holding a market share of 0.88%,
while Italy's exports stood at $266 thousand, representing a market share of 0.11%.
For Turkey, although the trade volume is relatively low, discussions within a potential trade
agreement might revolve around exploring avenues for enhancing trade relations through non-tariff
measures, promotions, or market access facilitation to potentially increase Turkish uncooked pasta
exports to the UK.
