How would you deal with the situation? If I were in this situation, I would handle it with professionalism and integrity. Since I signed a confidentiality agreement, I have a legal and ethical duty to protect all sensitive information within my workplace. Sharing confidential documents, even with a friend, would not only violate my agreement but could also result in serious legal consequences for both myself and my organization. I would explain to my friend in a respectful but firm manner that I cannot provide any documents due to confidentiality policies. Instead, I would encourage them to follow the proper legal procedures, such as consulting a lawyer, who can formally request access to any necessary documents. This ensures that my friend’s rights are protected while also keeping me in compliance with my professional responsibilities. Additionally, I would remind my friend that confidentiality agreements exist to maintain fairness and justice, preventing the misuse of sensitive information. While I understand their situation, I must prioritize ethical responsibility over personal relationships. By maintaining professionalism, I uphold the integrity of my workplace and contribute to a fair legal process. In the end, respecting confidentiality is not just about following rules it is about ensuring trust, fairness, and justice in the system. How did you handle the situation? How would you rate your skills in handling differences of opinion? Please give an example hat illustrates that skill. Disagreements and conflicts are inevitable in any workplace, but I believe they can be handled constructively with the right approach. I have always prioritized professionalism, open communication, and mutual respect when dealing with differences of opinion. Whenever a disagreement arises, I make an effort to listen attentively, understand the other person's perspective, and respond thoughtfully rather than react emotionally. My goal is always to find a solution that benefits both parties while maintaining a positive work environment. I would rate my skills in handling differences of opinion as strong, as I actively practice patience, empathy, and problem-solving in these situations. For example, in a past team project, there was a disagreement about how to distribute tasks. Some members felt overwhelmed, while others wanted more responsibilities. Instead of allowing tension to escalate, I initiated a team discussion where everyone could voice their concerns. By carefully listening and proposing a compromise, we created a fair workload distribution that worked for everyone. As a result, we improved collaboration and successfully met our deadline. In another instance, a colleague and I had differing views on how to approach a task. Instead of insisting on my perspective, I suggested that we try both methods on a small scale and compare results. This objective and solution-focused approach not only resolved our conflict but also strengthened our teamwork and mutual respect. I believe that resolving conflicts professionally requires strong communication, active listening, and a willingness to collaborate. By handling disagreements with a calm and logical approach, I am sure that conflicts can lead to growth rather than division. Delivering documents exposed me to the different pressures the different sections are experiencing. I saw experts at their own field make mistakes which boosted my confidence because it helped me realize that nobody is perfect. Besides that it also helped discover the different equipment used inside the airport which was really important and helpful to me, it helped me familiarize myself to the field of my choosing and helped me grow even more. STEM Work Immersion CHAPTER 7 My Reflection STEM Work Immersion I learned that there are a lot of things to do when you decide to work. You need to gather the requirements needed in the company to ensure the company and your safety. The process of gathering is quite time consuming and may take some time. Then the process of interviewing depending on the results might not guarantee you the job. I realized that there are a lot of things to do before you can work but everything starts the moment you get hired. In the workplace we need to be respectful, punctual, and be the best version of yourself. Also, you need to be consistent in everything you do and always be focused during work hours. When I started working I realized that when working stress is unavoidable. Even the professionals in different fields made mistakes when working tirelessly, fatigue got to them. Stress can be overcome by passion and love for the job or field that you are in but rest is a must, because people might over estimate themselves when doing the things they love, and might end up making mistakes and hurting themselves. I realized that while working you also need to invest on your body to be a more successful individual. Facing challenges is a normal occurrence in the workplace but as a wise man said, "A busy person has time for everything.", so one must manage time properly so he can solve surprise challenges life has to offer. It is also very important to be respectful to co-workers, staffs, and visitors as not everyone is having as great a day as you do, greet them as it can help lighten their day. In conclusion, I have learned that as a worker we need to be ready for everything. We need to be punctual, look our best, and be respectful and greet everyone with no discrimination. It is also important to take care of our health as this helps you be more productive in work and be happier.
