BG 10.42 explained:
Krishna pervades world through Super Soul.
Before Maha-Vishnu, all are in spiritual world they do not interact with material nature.
Last three are Purusha Avatara they interact with material nature but they do not get contaminated
by that.
Kshirodakashayi Vishnu is Paramatma He is present above the top loka of Brahma Loka also in Kshir
sagar but along with that He is also present as the Super Soul in the heart of all living beings, so now
Krishna is saying that Kshirodakashyi Vishnu is all pervading.
Garbhodakashyi Vishnu is the Super Soul of each universe who enters into each capsule of universe.
Maha-Vishnu is Super Soul of all existence not just of one universe but all universes, it is from Him
everything comes along.
Some people think that Vishnu is source as through Vishnu avatars come, demigod approaches Vishnu
for help and Vishnu assure an avatar will come, but Vishnu is not the source but a gateway, prayers
goes to Vishnu and there are so many avatars in spiritual world and as per requirement an specific
avatar comes down. From the point of view of people in this material world Vishnu was prayed and
then Krishna came so they think Krishna is an incarnation of Vishnu so from the limited perspective of
this world the point is true but beyond the perspective of this world the complete reality is as explained
above.
In spiritual world Krishna manifest all 64 qualities unlike Lord Vishnu who manifest 60 qualities. Rupa
Maduri, Venu Madhuri, Lila Madhuri and Bhakta Madhuri. Bhakta Madhuri is so special that Lakshmi
Devi desires to enter into what Gopis (Bhaktas) are getting and she wanted to enter into Rasa Lila. From
Rasa point of view there is difference.
In the purport SP referred what Srila Baldeva Vidya Bhusan mentioned:
yac-chakti-leśāt sūryādyā
bhavanty aty-ugra-tejasaḥ
yad-aṁśena dhṛtaṁ viśvaṁ
sa kṛṣṇo daśame ’rcyate
From Lord Kṛṣṇa’s potent energy even the powerful sun gets its power, and by Kṛṣṇa’s partial expansion
the whole world is maintained. Therefore Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa is worshipable.:
yac-chakti-leśāt, just by a part of His energy, sūryādyā, surya gets his power,
bhavanty aty-ugra-tejasaḥ, Its ugra-tejasaḥ, the formidable power its effulgence come from Krishna’s
energy,
yad-aṁśena dhṛtaṁ viśvaṁ, by an amsa He is sustaining the whole Visva,
sa kṛṣṇo daśame ’rcyate, therefore that Krishna is worshipable, that Krishna should be worshiped.
HOW YOGAMAYA TRANSFERRED SANKARSHANA FROM Mother DEVAKI TO Mother ROHINI”S WOMB.
How she has gotten the power to do such a heavy task?
Krishna Spoke to Yogamaya in Srimad bhagavatam:
SB 10.2.9, Translation and Purport:
O all-auspicious Yogamāyā, I shall then appear with My full six opulences as the son of Devakī, and
you will appear as the daughter of mother Yaśodā, the queen of Mahārāja Nanda.
The word aṁśa-bhāgena is important in this verse. In Bhagavad-gītā (10.42) the Lord says:
athavā bahunaitena
kiṁ jñātena tavārjuna
viṣṭabhyāham idaṁ kṛtsnam
ekāṁśena sthito jagat
"But what need is there, Arjuna, for all this detailed knowledge? With a single fragment of Myself I
pervade and support this entire universe." Everything is situated as a part of the Supreme Lord's
potency. In regard to Lord Kṛṣṇa's appearance in the womb of Devakī, Brahmā played a part also
because on the bank of the milk ocean he requested the Supreme Personality of Godhead to appear.
A part was also played by Baladeva, the first expansion of Godhead. Similarly, Yogamāyā, who appeared
as the daughter of mother Yaśodā, also played a part. Thus jīva-tattva, viṣṇu-tattva and śakti-tattva are
all integrated with the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and when Kṛṣṇa appears, He appears with all
His integrated parts. As explained in previous verses, Yogamāyā was requested to attract Saṅkarṣaṇa,
Baladeva, from the womb of Devakī to the womb of Rohiṇī, and this was a very heavy task for her.
Yogamāyā naturally could not see how it was possible for her to attract Saṅkarṣaṇa. Therefore Kṛṣṇa
addressed her as śubha, auspicious, and said, "Be blessed. Take power from Me, and you will be able
to do it." By the grace of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, anyone can do anything, for the Lord is
present in everything, all things being His parts and parcels (aṁśa-bhāgena) and increasing or
decreasing by His supreme will. Balarāma was only fifteen days older than Kṛṣṇa. By the blessings of
Kṛṣṇa, Yogamāyā became the daughter of mother Yaśodā, but by the supreme will she was not able to
enjoy the parental love of her father and mother. Kṛṣṇa, however, although not actually born from the
womb of mother Yaśodā, enjoyed the parental love of mother Yaśodā and Nanda. By the blessings of
Kṛṣṇa, Yogamāyā was able to achieve the reputation of being the daughter of mother Yaśodā, who also
became famous by the blessings of Kṛṣṇa. Yaśodā means "one who gives fame."
SRILA PRABHUPADA’s examples on this
For example, in the food-controlling department the controller of food is a person made of the same
ingredients as the person who is controlled. Similarly, each and every individual in the material world
is controlled by the higher demigods. For example, we have our senses, but the senses are controlled
by superior controlling deities. We cannot see without light, and the supreme controller of light is the
sun. The sun-god is in the sun planet, and we, the individual human beings or any other being on this
earth, are all controlled by the sun-god as far as our eyes are concerned. Similarly, all the senses we
have are controlled by the superior demigods, who are also as much living entities as we are, but one
is empowered while the other is controlled. The controlled living entity is called the adhyātmic person,
and the controller is called the adhidaivic person. All these positions in the material world are due to
different fruitive activities. Any individual living being can become the sun-god or even Brahmā or any
other god in the upper planetary system by a higher grade of pious work, and similarly one becomes
controlled by the higher demigods by lower grades of fruitive activities. So every individual living entity
is subject to the supreme control of the Paramātmā, who puts everyone in different positions of the
controller and the controlled.
Prahalad Maharaj instructs
kaumāra ācaret prājño
dharmān bhāgavatān iha
durlabhaṁ mānuṣaṁ janma
tad apy adhruvam [arthadam]
[SB 7.6.1]
[Prahlāda Mahārāja said: One who is sufficiently intelligent should use the human form of body from
the very beginning of life—in other words, from the tender age of childhood—to practice the activities
of devotional service, giving up all other engagements. The human body is most rarely achieved, and
although temporary like other bodies, it is meaningful because in human life one can perform
devotional service. Even a slight amount of sincere devotional service can give one complete
perfection.]
Adhruvam arthadam. He says that "This life is very valuable, very rare, but it is also temporary."
Because it is very rarely obtained, it is not permanent. It is also temporary like cats and dogs. They
have got their temporary body. But the one significance of this body is arthadam. Arthadam means
you can derive the greatest value in this life. Arthadam. Artha means money, and paramartha means
spiritual consciousness. That is also artha.
Srila prabhupada Speaks about devotional service:
Prabhupāda: . Jñāna-karmādy-anāvṛtam [Cc. Madhya 19.167]. Pure devotional service should be
uncovered by the motive of nirbheda-brahmā nu sandhana, the motive of karma and motive
of jñāna. That is pure devotional service. No motive.
anyābhilāṣitā-śūnyaṁ
jñāna-karmādy-anāvṛtam
ānukūlyena kṛṣṇānuśīlanam bhaktir uttama
[Nectar of Devotion. 1.1.11]
Simply to do things which Kṛṣṇa wants to do, that is bhakti. That is pure bhakti. "One has to learn Kṛṣṇa
consciousness, or pure devotional service, from the authorities by spontaneous loving service."
Prabhupāda: Spontaneous. This service should be spontaneous, not forced. Just like a father loves his
son spontaneously, a young man likes to love a young girl spontaneously. So bhakti should be like that.
As soon as one hears the name of Kṛṣṇa, immediately, spontaneously, he should be ready to serve Him.
That is pure devotion. Not that forced. In the beginning, we have to force, that "You rise early in the
morning. There is maṅgala ārātrika. You have to perform it."
But when this function will be done spontaneously, "Oh, this is the time to offer maṅgala ārātrika to
my Lord..." That is wanted. That is wanted. Not that "Oh, it is a heavy burden to rise early in the
morning and to offer maṅgala ārātrika." That is not spontaneous. But one has to act under the
direction of spiritual master and śāstra, which is called vidhi-bhakti, regulative devotional service. So
after one being trained in regulative devotional service, he comes to the platform of spontaneous
service.
