It refers to the system of electrical wiring and related components within an
aircraft.
EWIS includes wiring harnesses, connectors, and various related hardware that
together ensure the proper functioning of an aircraft’s electrical systems.

HOW TO PREVENT CORROSION
The most important means for preventing corrosion is to keep aircraft free of
moisture.
A thorough rinsing and cleaning of aircraft will remove salt and other corrosive
agents. Exposed areas such as the landing gear and cooling vents need extra
attention, as well as any other joints, gaps, and hinges where debris collects.
Chipped or delaminating paint needs to be properly striped or sanded and repainted.
Industrial-grade protectants and lubricants help seal the metal against moisture, and
need to be periodically applied to aircraft.
During severe weather or wet conditions, aircraft should be covered and sheltered. It
is important to keep some form of ventilation, so moisture does not accumulate.

Routine
First thing that we do on our duty is we conduct a meeting with the production planning
and discussing for how many scheduled aircraft’s for a routine checks and workloads
then after the meeting we will withdraw our proper tools and getting also a proper
reference before going to aircrafts.
Before we enter or climb up using the ladder we first make sure that the ladder is
serviceable and safe to used and we also check the aircraft’s door if it’s pressurized or
not.
And after that
We check the CML if there’s a remarks for cabin and if there’s any, we will proceed to
rectify:
But first:
- [x] We check the said location
- [ ] Check the defect if it’s valid
- [x] Check it to the IPC to get a correct figure and part number
- [ ] Check it to the AMOS (Aircraft Maintenance Operation Standard) to check if the
parts are available:
- If it’s not we raised it to the ADD or MEL
- [x] Then after that we go to AMM/CMM to check the reference need and proper tools
before proceeding
- But before proceeding:
* We check the ground time and
* Check the Manpower
NTF (NON TEXTILE FLOORING) galley matting
Removal
- [x] First thing that we’re going to do is get the reference so we have a basis
- [ ] Then remove first the metal plate of the partition of the galley matting and carpet
- [x] Then remove the cabin attendant seat
- [ ] Then next is remove the dry sealant within the galley
- [x] Then next is other person is pulling the matting and other is scraping the adhesive
from the matting so it’s easy to remove
- [ ] Then after completely remove the galley matting clean the remaining adhesive from
the surface
Replacement
- [x] If applicable pull out slowly the adhesive from the matting and carefully install the
matting from the surface
- [ ] And if there’s no any adhesive in the matting itself get a heavy duty adhesive tape and
stick it to the surface then stick the matting
- [x] Then after completely installed the matting get a sealant and installed it on every
corner of the matting and let it dry
- [ ] Then next is install the cabin attendant seat
- [x] And last is put it back the metal plate
- [ ] And clean the working area
