Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) School-Based Camp
SY 2022-2023
I. INTRODUCTION
The Don Mariano Marcos Elementary School successfully conducted the Boy Scouts of the Philippines
(BSP) School-Based Camp for the School Year 2022-2023. The activity aimed to develop leadership, discipline,
teamwork, and character among learners while strengthening their physical, social, and mental skills. This
camp provided an opportunity for Scouts to immerse themselves in activities that promoted resourcefulness,
independence, and responsibility, fostering the values upheld by the BSP.
The school-based camp aligned with DepEd’s thrust to deliver holistic education and promote values
formation through co-curricular activities. With the guidance of school leaders, teachers, parents, and
stakeholders, the event became a meaningful experience for all participants.
II. OBJECTIVES
The BSP School-Based Camp had the following objectives:
 To instill leadership, camaraderie, and teamwork among the Boy Scouts.
 To develop learners’ life skills through practical and outdoor activities.
 To promote environmental awareness and encourage responsibility for nature.
 To strengthen discipline, independence, and decision-making abilities among Scouts.
 To foster patriotism, love for service, and adherence to the Scout Law and Promise.
III. ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN
The BSP School-Based Camp took place over two days and featured a variety of engaging activities. The
program was well-structured to cater to the developmental needs of Scouts while incorporating fun,
learning, and values formation.

V. OUTPUTS/RESULTS
Active Participation:
 A total of 75 Boy Scouts participated in the School-Based Camp, supported by teachers and parents.
Skills Development:

Scouts acquired essential life skills such as leadership, knot-tying, tent pitching, fire-building, and
basic first aid.
Environmental Advocacy:
 Through the tree-planting activity, the Scouts demonstrated their commitment to environmental
preservation.
Teamwork and Leadership:
 The team-building games and challenges enhanced the Scouts' ability to work together and
strengthened leadership skills.
Character Formation:
 The camp successfully instilled the values of discipline, patriotism, and service to others in alignment
with the Scout Law and Promise.
VI. RECOMMENDATIONS
 Continuation of the annual BSP School-Based Camp to sustain and strengthen leadership and life
skills among learners.
 Inclusion of more advanced survival and scouting skills in future camps.
 Further collaboration with external BSP representatives and local stakeholders to enhance resource
support.
 Increase parental involvement and participation to ensure program sustainability and learner
motivation.
VII. CONCLUSION
The BSP School-Based Camp conducted at Don Mariano Marcos Elementary School for SY 2022-2023
was a resounding success. It not only achieved its objectives but also provided a memorable experience for
all participants. The camp helped shape the Scouts' character, leadership abilities, and appreciation for
teamwork and nature.
With the continued support of the Department of Education, parents, stakeholders, and the BSP
organization, Don Mariano Marcos Elementary School remains committed to promoting holistic
development and preparing learners to become responsible, skilled, and value-oriented individuals.
