Rules for describing someone's physical appearance , you start with:
1- The general features ( height, built, age…etc)
2- The more specific features as hair, eyes, nose,etc
3- Add a description of the clothes the person likes to wear.
4- Support your description with examples/justification if you
describe a personality trait
Examples:
- Laura is a tall slim woman in her early twenties with chestnut-brown
hair and sky-blue eyes. She usually wears smart suits as she prefers
formal clothes. You know Laura; she tends to be an introvert as she
very rarely socializes and prefers to spend most of her time on her
own.
Remember to:
1. Use mild language to describe a negative trait
2. Support your description if you describe the personality

My best friend, Sam, has a warm smile that lights up any room he walks
into. With curly brown hair that falls just above his shoulders and bright,

personality is a perfect blend of kindness, humor, and intelligence, making
him incredibly easy to talk to. Always quick to crack a joke, he can lighten
even the heaviest of moments. Despite his fun-loving nature, he is also
incredibly compassionate, always there to offer support when needed.

easy to follow.

EXAMPLES:

I’ recently bought a cozy oversized sweater that’s perfect for chilly days.
It’s a soft, cream-colored knit with circular patterns running down the
sleeves, giving it a timeless, classic look. The fabric feels luxurious against
my skin, and it has just the right amount of stretch to make it comfortable
all day long. I love how versatile it is—it can be dressed up with a scarf and
boots for a more polished look or paired with leggings for a relaxed vibe.
The slightly rolled edges at the cuffs and hem add a nice, laid-back touch
to its design. It’s quickly become my go-to piece whenever I want to feel
both cozy and stylish.

Food:
My favorite food is pizza. I love how the combination of crispy crust, melted
cheese, and rich tomato sauce creates the perfect balance of flavors. I
usually go for a classic Margherita pizza, with fresh basil leaves and a
drizzle of olive oil on top. The cheese is always so gooey and delicious,
and the crust has just the right amount of crunch. It’s the kind of food
that’s comforting and satisfying, no matter the occasion. Whether I’m
having it with friends or enjoying a quiet night at home, pizza always makes
the experience better.

One of my favorite foods is sushi. I love the freshness of the fish combined
with the subtle taste of vinegared rice. My favorite type is salmon nigiri,
where the smooth slice of salmon sits perfectly on top of the rice. I also
enjoy rolls with avocado and cucumber, adding a nice crunch and creamy
texture. The wasabi and soy sauce give the dish an extra kick, making each
bite even more flavorful. Sushi is light but satisfying, and I always feel
happy and refreshed after having it.

Drink:
My favorite drink is iced tea, especially on a hot day. I love how refreshing
it is, with just the right balance of sweetness and a hint of lemon.
Sometimes, I add a few fresh mint leaves for an extra burst of flavor. It’s the
perfect drink to sip on during lunch or when I’m relaxing with friends. I also
enjoy that it’s not too heavy but still very satisfying. Whether homemade or

squeezed, with a little pulp for texture. The bright, citrusy flavor gives me
an instant boost of energy, and it’s perfect with breakfast or as a quick
snack. It’s simple, healthy, and always satisfying.

A gift I received recently was a handmade silver necklace. It has a simple,
elegant design with a small charm shaped like a star. The necklace is delicate but
shiny, and it’s the perfect length to wear every day. What made it so special was
that it was made by a close friend, and they put a lot of thought into the design.
Whenever I wear it, I feel a sense of connection to that person and the care they
took in choosing something meaningful for me. It’s now one of my favorite pieces
of jewelry, and I wear it often.

Funfair/ amusement park
Even before I entered the funfair, I could hear the sound of loud music playing
and the shrieks of people on the rides. As I went in, I was tempted by the smell of
fresh popcorn and candy-floss. Lights were flashing and people were bustling
everywhere. From the big wheel, I had a breath-taking view over the whole town.
Restaurant
The moment I entered the restaurant, I began to feel hungry as the delicious
smells of fine cooking reached me from the kitchen. Soft music and quiet
conversation created a relaxing atmosphere. A smiling waiter came over to take
my order, and I sat back on a comfortable cushioned chair.
School
My school is a bright and welcoming place with a mix of modern and traditional
buildings. The classrooms are spacious and well-equipped, with lots of natural
light coming through the large windows. Moreover, there is a big library full of
books, providing a quiet place to study or read. The school also has a large
playground where students can play sports or relax during breaks. The teachers
are friendly and supportive, always ready to help when we need it. Overall, it's a
place where students can learn, grow, and have fun, making it a great
environment for everyone.
Shopping centre
Carrefour Shopping Centre is a large, modern centre that offers a wide range of
shopping, dining, and entertainment options. The main attraction is the Carrefour

hypermarket, which is stocked with groceries, electronics, clothing, and
household items, making it a one-stop shop for everything. Moreover, the mall
features many popular retail stores, including fashion boutiques, cosmetics, and
tech shops. There is also a food court with various international cuisines, perfect
for grabbing a meal while shopping. The atmosphere is always busy and lively,
with families and friends enjoying their time. Additionally, Carrefour often hosts
special events and promotions, making it an exciting place to visit for both
shopping and entertainment.
Museum
The Egyptian Museum in Cairo is a remarkable place that showcases the rich
history and culture of ancient Egypt. As you walk in, you’re surrounded by
thousands of artifacts, including statues, mummies, and intricate jewelry, many
of which date back thousands of years. The museum's most famous collection is
the treasures of Tutankhamun, including his golden mask, which is one of the
most iconic symbols of ancient Egypt. Moreover, the museum's galleries cover a
wide range of periods, from the early dynastic period to the Greco-Roman era.
The atmosphere is awe-inspiring, with each exhibit telling the story of Egypt’s
incredible past. It’s a must-visit for anyone interested in history and the ancient
world, offering a unique and educational experience
My city
-Alexandria is home to several famous landmarks that reflect its rich history. One
of the most iconic is the Citadel of Qaitbay, a fortress built on the site of the
ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient
World. Another important landmark is the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a modern
library inspired by the ancient Library of Alexandria, which was once the largest
in the world. The Roman Amphitheatre is also a key site, showcasing the city’s
Roman history. Additionally, the Montaza Palace, with its beautiful gardens and
views of the Mediterranean, is a popular place for both locals and tourists. These
landmarks make Alexandria a fascinating city with a blend of ancient and modern
attractions.
-Dahab is a small, peaceful town located on the Red Sea in Egypt. It is famous for
its clear blue waters, beautiful beaches, and coral reefs, making it a great place
for diving and snorkeling. One of the most popular spots in Dahab is the Blue
Hole, a deep underwater sinkhole that attracts divers from around the world. The

town has a relaxed atmosphere, with many cafes and restaurants along the shore.
Besides water activities, visitors can explore the nearby desert and mountains,
perfect for hiking and camel rides. Dahab is a quiet and beautiful place to visit for
both adventure and relaxation.

famous for its beautiful natural sights, like hot springs and salt lakes. One of the
most important places in Siwa is the Temple of the Oracle, where Alexander the
Great once visited. The town is known for its unique culture, with many people
still speaking the Siwi language and living in traditional mud-brick houses. Siwa
is a great place to relax, explore nature, and learn about Egypt's history.

Example 1/ holiday/festival
Sham El-Nessim is an ancient Egyptian holiday that marks the
beginning of spring. It is usually celebrated on the Monday following
Coptic Easter. The holiday is known for its outdoor festivities, as
people gather in parks or along the Nile River to enjoy the warm
weather. Traditional foods are an important part of the celebration,
with dishes like salted fish, falafel, and green onions being commonly
eaten. Families and friends come together to relax, enjoy nature, and
celebrate the changing season. The holiday has a special meaning,
connecting people to nature and Egyptian traditions.


In my country, Eid al-Fitr is an important festival celebrated by Muslims
all over the world. It takes place after the end of Ramadan, the month of
fasting in the Islamic calendar. The exact date of Eid al-Fitr depends on
the sighting of the new moon. During Eid al-Fitr, Muslims gather with
family and friends to pray, exchange gifts, and share meals. They often

wear new clothes and decorate their homes with colorful lights and
ornaments. Many also give to charity, known as zakat al-fitr, which helps
those in need. Eid al-Fitr is significant to Muslim culture because it
marks the end of a month-long period of fasting, prayer, and selfreflection. It is a time to celebrate with loved ones and to thank Allah for
the blessings received throughout the year. The festival also promotes
unity and brotherhood, as people come together regardless of their
social status, ethnicity, or nationality.

The game exhibition I went to was really fun and full of energy. There
were many different game stations set up, with big screens showing the
latest games. I could try out new video games, from racing games to

playing and talking about their favorite games. It was a great event for

A sports day at school is always full of excitement and energy. The day

My favorite sport is basketball. I love the fast pace of the game and the

in the game’s success. I also love how challenging it can be, requiring
both physical skill and strategic thinking. Whether I'm playing with

improve coordination.
