For each HTP side, one or both upper seals or one or both lower seals may be
missing provided that the whole block of adjacent seals is removed. Before each
flight, a visual inspection must be performed to make sure that there is no fluid
accumulation in the tail.
Note:
1. The front HTP onglet fairing seal cannot be missing.
2. May be combined with any other item listed in CDL-55 chapter, except
55-15 (Refer to Item 55-15 HTP Karman Fairing Seal).
Performance:
The following performance penalties are applicable for one affected HTP side:
Takeoff and approach climb performance limiting weights are reduced by 70 kg
(155 lb).
The following performance penalties are applicable for both affected HTP sides:
Takeoff and approach climb performance limiting weights are reduced by 140 kg
(310 lb)
En-route performance limiting weight is reduced by 232 kg (512 lb)
Fuel consumption is increased by 0.14 %.
