Part 2: Sugar Addiction Discussion
The article I chose to read would be Sugar Addiction. After reading the article, I
concluded that the main idea is to give the reader clues to see whether the reader can
potentially be a sugar addict and to discuss the health problems sugar addiction can
cause. Throughout the week, the article states that within their study, there is
approximately 75% of Americans who over consume the recommended sugar intake.
“Many of whom could be classified as having a sugar addiction”. Bottom line of the
article will have to get the message out for the reader to get some rehab help if they fall
under the sugar addiction.
I believe I am not much of a sugar person unless I really crave it. I can have a bag of
m&ms last me longer than a week. For me to fall under the sugar addiction category will
be less than likely. I could potentially die before I become addicted to sugars. Some signs
coming from the article states, “The clearest signs of sugar addiction involve
consumption of large amounts of food or drinks laden with sugars.” Followed by, “They
may even talk about craving sugar after a stressful or irritating life experience” (Sugar
Addiction)Some steps for me to eliminate added sugars would have to be to fix myself a
reasonable amount of food in my plate since a good amount of good is processed with
sugars from the factory.
