The antenna can be used without a balun, but to avoid
common mode current problems, I would suggest a 1:1 balun.
Total span is approx. 26m. On 40m it is a full-size dipole with good performance,
on 80m it is a loaded dipole. VSWR @ 50Ω is < 2:1 on all bands.
