This assignment is based on Specific Outcome 1, which focuses on Chapters 1 – 4.

Specific outcome 1:
Initiate and evaluate a proposed Information Technology project based on appropriate
scientific enquiry. An evaluation includes defining steps to initiate a project, define the scope,
purpose and context, and to utilize cost benefit feasibility analysis techniques.

project management with conventional plan-based approaches. Your comparison should be
based on the effectiveness of each approach for planning the allocation of people to projects,
maintaining team cohesion and managing changes in project team membership.
