During the Trump and Zelensky meeting recently at the oval office in the white house, many
controversies struck due to Trump’s disagreement on Zelensky’s attire. The meeting started out
civil and casual, but things strongly took a turn when President Donald Trump alongside vice
President JD Vance started a heated “shouting match” between them and the visiting president
of Ukraine, Zelensky. Both continuously accused Zelensky for not being grateful enough for US
support and that his decision to show up in a shirt rather than a vest was rather disrespectful.
The meeting was initially for a mineral deal for Ukraine to share its mineral resources with the
United states but yet ended in no deals and a slight aggression between both nations. However
despite the tension, this meeting quickly gained attention from people, the news and even
government officials, with many disagreeing on Trump’s comments towards Zelensky’s attire.
Zelensky even went on to visit the U.K king and a majority of the European political officials
afterwards, with many not even regarding his attire as a problem and Zelensky was welcomed
much more warmly than he did with Trump, gaining many deals and support from European
powers instead.
