So, 100 years after Abraham Lincoln ended slavery and signed a law for Black
people's voting rights, but America was still not equal for Black people. Black
people still did not have equal opportunities. The country of America was quite
rich but the condition of Black people was very bad. Life was not peaceful.
So America had promised Black people a fair deal, but just like white people, even
Martin Luther King Jr. realized this promise was not fulfilled and there was still
injustice.
Let's not waste time by just laying down and doing nothing. We don't have time for
this. Martin Luther King Jr. tells everyone to put the promises of democracy to
work. He is asking the people of America to bring racial justice.
He is asking the people of America to bring racial justice among each color and
not allow their community to put their names to dirt.
Martin LKJ is informing everyone that they won't have peace until all Negroes are
provided freedom and the same dignity and rights that the white people receive.
The Negroes are still not segregated from freedom. Then he addresses the Black
people, asking them to take the right path to gain justice.
Martin LKJ is asking all Black people to not break into violence and go back to
fighting white people. He also informs all Black people to not hate all white people
as some are considered as our brothers, and for the others, we need to create a
brotherhood.
MLKJ informs that the Blacks do not receive the same freedom as the Whites. The
Blacks can't just stay alone in the darkness and a sense of unity needs to be
created between the Blacks and the Whites. And he addresses the people who ask
"When will you be satisfied?" telling them that we will not be satisfied till we are
not the victims.
We won't be satisfied till the Negroes' basic house mobility gets larger and the
Black children should not face the same struggles like us and not be stopped by
white signs. Black people don't see the point of voting as they don't believe the
Whites will do anything for them.
Black people suffering
Blacks were being told to go back to places until they reached the same slum area
ghettos. They were being pushed down by the whites, but we (Blacks) still have
hope that this will change and we will recover justice.
