THE UNFORGIVING TALE
In a land far far away there lived a small family of Ajeku,the ajeku
family were one of the most honest and richest family in the
whole land. They had two sons and one daughter.The first son's
name was Ola and the second son was Lanre the daughter's name
was Tola.
One grateful day, their mother mama Ola as she is mostly
called bought a new pair of shoes for Ola and Tola but did not buy
for Lanre because she did not see his size.When it was afternoon
she sent both Ola and Lanre to fetch water for her.as the two
sons were on their way Lanre noticed that Ola had new shoes and
asked were Ola had gotten them.Ola had to tell Lanre that his
mother had gotten them for him and Tola.Ola felt angry and
jealous.When they finished fetching the water, they got
home.Mama Ola went to the boys and showed Lanre the new
shoes she had gotten for him. Lanre instantly became happy and
started to show off his shoes to his friends he even let them wear
it and once as a friend was wearing it the shoe cut from the inside
and tore Lanre quickly went to meet the cobbler.but found out
that the shoe was beyound repair,he went home and told his
mom about it and she beat him seriouslyand even banned him
from going to play with his friends for two months.Lanre was
angry and upset and decided to get back at Ola,Lanre looked for
Ola's shoes but could not find it.But one day as they were going to
visit some relatives Ola found out that his shoes were cut. He
tood his mum but she said"my son it must be because of you
haven't worn them in a while. besides we can repair it". Lanre was
angry and thought of this as an unfair act he slowly became
distant from Ola and started looking for ways to put Ola in trouble
.but later Lanre found his opportunity when Ola was told to take
care of the farm.Lanre went to the farm on the pretext of helping
Ola and made Ola sleep then he destroyed all the plants and
crops . then he went back to Ola and told him that he was going
home. after a few minutes Ola came and saw the farmland. he
wondered who could have done that within the short period of
time when Lanre left and he came out.Ola began to cry but his
parents arrived and they looked shocked, they began to scold and
beat Ola and Lanre who was looking happy about this, went to his
parents and started consoling them.Ola kept denying that he had
done anything and this made his parents think he had gone
mad.they immediately took him to the Ifa priest and the truth
was reaveled.When their parents found out that Lanre had done
this they beat Lanre and scolded sshim.when they were all
sleeping Lanre ran out of the house and unfortunately fell over a
huge rock and died.

Always have a forgiving heart towards your peers and friends to
prevent your downfall.
