Issues and Concerns Encountered
Solutions
Recommendations
Lack of Experience of the newly-hired
teacher
A newly-hired teacher may have
limited experience in teaching, which
can make it difficult to answer the
coursebook questions. The solution is
to provide assistance and encourage
to attend professional development
sessions.
Teacher induction program should
provide a clear and comprehensive
overview of instructional practices
and offer resources for further
learning.
Time management
Newly-hired teachers may have
difficulty managing their time
effectively, making it challenging to
complete the coursebook on time. The
solution is to create a schedule that
prioritizes the completion of the
coursebook and allows time for other
teaching responsibilities, such as
lesson planning and grading.
The teacher induction program
should provide a realistic timeline for
completing the coursebook and offer
strategies for managing time
effectively.
Technical difficulties
Newly-hired teachers may experience
technical difficulties, such as
problems accessing online resources
or navigating digital platforms. The
solution is to seek technical support
from the ICT of the school or, and to
practice using technology tools in a
safe environment before attempting to
complete the coursebook.
The teacher induction program
should provide clear instructions for
accessing and using digital resources
and offer technical support
throughout the course.


Offering guidance and support- As a mentor I should make sure that I will be able to offer guidance and
support to my mentee, especially in areas where she may lack knowledge or experience. And also resources,
advice, and strategies for the successful conduct of the teacher-induction program.

Observing and providing feedback- Observing my mentee's teaching practice and providing constructive
feedback is essential. I always make sure to observe the mentee's teaching practice regularly, provide specific
feedback on areas for improvement, and suggest strategies for improvement.

Modelling effective teaching practices- I always act as a model of delivering effective teaching practices for
the mentee. I demonstrate effective teaching practices, co-teach with the mentee, and provide opportunities for
the mentee to observe other effective teachers.

Building a positive and supportive relationship- Establishing a positive and supportive relationship between
the mentor and mentee is crucial. I always make sure to create a safe space for the mentee to share her
concerns, ideas, and progress.


Collaborative learning communities- Collaborative learning communities provide a supportive environment
for new teachers to share ideas and best practices. I always encourage my mentee to collaborate with other
newly-hired teachers to develop instructional strategies, share resources, and problem-solve.

outline the objectives, content, and structure of the teacher induction program course.
