Alloy- a mixture of metals.
Flexible-can be bent or squashed but when the push or pull force is remove it returns to its original
shape.
Malleable- it can be shaped by hammering or by pressing.
Brittle- can be broken if it is bent or hit.
Absorbent- has holes in its surface through which water can pass through.
Oasis-is a spring in a desert in which plants grow.
Water proof- a material that does not allow water to pass through it.
Transparent- a material that allows light to pass through it.
Translucent- allows light rays to pas through but the rays are scattered.
Opaque-this is a material that does not let light pass through it.
Heat conductor- a material that allows heat to pass through it.
Heat insulator- a material that does not allow heat to pass through it.
Electrical conductor- a material that allows electrical current to flow through it.
Electrical insulator- a material that does not allow electrical current to flow through it.
Acid- a corrosive liquid that fizzes when it comes in contact with a solid and burn when in contact
with skin. The acid in our food is sour.
Alkaline- a solution that neutralizes an acid.
Ph scale- used to measure how strong or wea a acid or alkaline is.
Neutralization- when an acid reacts with an alkaline.
