My reflection
It was through my discussion with Dr. Frithi Herbert that I came to know more about the
interrelationship between business, technology, and innovation. She has shared her story of learning
to adapt and decide, which eventually placed her in the position of Director of Innovations at GEMS
Education. One learning point that struck home was resilience and the power of taking a chance; Dr.
Frithi emphasized how embracing challenges and being open to changes were crucial to her career
development. In her opinion, networking and mentorship were very important; she talked about
how connections in the right way and guidance from seasoned professionals paved the way for her
success. Moreover, the insight she gave into innovation in education and technology greatly
expanded my understanding of how digital transformation is changing the industries. Overall, the
meeting was inspirational; I left reinstated in my belief in lifelong learning, flexibility, and proactive
career development.
