1. Automatic Point-and-Shoot
Camera
Was introduced in 1975. it is
small, compact, and userfriendly. It has limited
functionality and uses small
sensors; thus, producing lower
quality images.
2. Digital Single Lens Reflex or
DSLR
Was introduced in 1991. It uses
a digital sensor.
3. Mirrorless Camera
Also known as Mirrorless
Interchangeable Lens
cameras, which are
lighter in weight and
render a more accurate
final image. They are also
less expensive.
3. Smartphones
Came out in 2000 with very
limited functionality and very
small sensors, but over the
years, have matched the other
types of cameras.
