How to Add An Icon Pack to ATAK
• Choose your Icons
• Icons should be 32 x 32 Pixels
– Many icons on the internet can be scaled to this
with many tools
• NOTE: White is the color that gets remapped.
If you use fancy icons with lots of colors (and I
do in this tutorial), choosing other colors
wont’ look good.
Example Icon Pack
(Generation on your Computer)
• This Icon Pack will be called
“Flags”, and have round and
rectangular (“square”) flags
• Choose a directory for your
icons (“Flag Icons” here)
• You can have one level below
the main level for the Icon Pack
(these can be selected from
within the Icon Pack)
Importing to ATAK
• Select the Icon Pallet from the Menu
• Select Settings
• Navigate to the Icon Pack you created,
and select the Icon Pack by tapping it
• Your Icon Pack has been added
• Selecting the Icon Sub-Category (e.g.
“Round” Here, allows you to choose
from the other sub categories (here
“Square”)
