To be successful you have to convince your followers, not yourself or your superiors, that you are worthy of being followed. 2/7/2024 17 Followers START Different people require different styles of leadership. A person who lacks motivation requires a different approach than one with a high degree of motivation. You must know your people! The fundamental starting point is having a good understanding of human nature, such as needs, emotions, and motivation. What you do in one situation will not always work in another. Human needs, emotions, and how people respond to stress. KNOW KNOW Know your job. Examples: be proficient and be able to train others in their tasks. Know your organization. The leader values the input of members, but the responsibility of making the final decision rests with the leader. Leaders focus on the big picture within an organization and delegate smaller tasks to the members to accomplish goals. START they make decisions alone without the input of others.
