We’ll help you look for every opportunity to earn a degree faster, and for less. 1. Transfer credits You can transfer in up to 87 prior eligible credits for many of our bachelor’s degrees. We accept eligible college credits from 5,000+ accredited institutions. We’ll work with you to get every transfer credit you deserve so you don’t have to spend time repeating coursework. Here are 10 ways we value your time, money, and life and educational experiences. 2. Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) If you have work and life experience, you can apply to have that experience evaluated for potential college credit. For every three credits earned, undergrad students can graduate five weeks faster and save over $1,300 off a degree. Students in our traditional MBA and MM programs can get up to 9 credits or $6,800 off with PLA/transfer credits. 3. Scholarships Starting with your first course, every qualifying new student will be awarded one of our scholarships (or you’ll get the best savings you qualify for). Scholarships are applied over a set number of courses. Maximum value is either $1,000 or $3,000, provided you maintain eligibility. 4. Employer tuition benefits We provide education benefits to employees at more than 2,900 organizations through employer or benefits provider alliances. Competency-based degrees If you’re a working professional, you can leverage your knowledge and experience to earn a degree faster, and for less. Competency-based programs like our Master of Business Administration-CB, can be completed in under a year for less than $10,000. 6. Alternative credit providers We accept general education and elective courses from StraighterLine, Sophia Learning and Study.com, which can reduce your overall program costs. 29 TIME AND MONEY SAVINGS 7. National testing programs Students with expertise in a specific subject may be able to earn college credit based on their performance on national, standardized tests. 8. Community college relationships Through our 3+1 Transfer Pathway, students can transfer 87 credits into a bachelor’s degree — equivalent to three years — from a participating community college. We also waive tuition and the resource fee for one course, which provides students with additional savings up to $1,220. Additionally, associate degree students who transfer into a University of Phoenix bachelor’s program can save $144 on every three-credit course with our special tuition rate. 9. Alumni savings Alumni are eligible for special tuition rates and can save up to $2,880 on a bachelor’s degree and $2,200 on a master’s degree. Additionally, in 2023 we continued awarding 50 alumni scholarship opportunities per month.
