PPI STUDY SCHEDULE
for the Mechanical PE HVAC and
Refrigeration Exam
How to Use This Study Schedule
In November 2016, NCEES changed the Mechanical PE exams to full-day discipline-specific exams.
Before you begin studying for the Mechanical PE HVAC and Refrigeration exam, use this study
schedule to plan your time. The study schedule provides a list of the new NCEES exam specifications
alongside cross-references to corresponding chapters of the Mechanical Engineering Reference
Manual for the PE Exam (MERM), allowing you to focus your study time on only those topics
relevant to your exam.
To use the study schedule, choose a start date and assign time limits for studying each exam topic.
Consider tackling topics that you are less familiar with first, and then schedule extra time throughout
your study schedule to review these topics.
