Average cutting time (power feed): 3.6 min
Performance rating: 110 percent
Allowance (machine time): 10 percent
Allowance (human effort time): 15 percent
The operator works on the job a full 8-h day and produces 173 pieces.
What is the operator’s efficiency for the 8-h day? (2 pts)
3. a) Express the standard time of 5.35 min in hours per hundred pieces. b)
What would the operator’s efficiency be if 105 pieces were completed
during an 8-h working day? c) What would the efficiency be if the operator
set up the machine (standard for setup = 0.35 h) and produced 95 pieces
during the 8-h workday? (1.5 pts)
