COUNSELING is a complex process
between a counselor and a client(s).
There are things that need to be
considered to ensure its effectiveness.
There are parameters and boundaries
that should be observed to make the
process work. A counselor is expected
to be very careful in dealing with a
client especially if the client is
undergoing a very crucial situation or
predicament.
There are principles that need to be observed.
Counseling is more than two friends talking or

their feelings and experiences. Here are
the principles that should be consciously
observed in counseling
1.It is a process, as well as a relationship between people.
2. The aim of the counselor is to assist the client(s) to realize a change in
behavior or attitude, or to seek achievement of goals contrary to the notion that
counseling is advice-giving.
3. Often there are varieties of problems for which the counselee (client) may seek
to find help.
