DRILL OBJECTIVES:



To enhance vigilance and refresh of personnel on board in the event of security threat;
To evaluate the response time during security threat.
To test security equipment i.e., Security Alarm, Hydrant line and to evaluate security
communication network.

SCENARIO:
During performing the activities at WP53 Platform. A safety officer noticed an approaching small boat
into K1 location, and after further observation, it was determined and confirmed that the small boat was
approaching K1 Starboard stern at 150 meters away, and after the small boat manage to alongside K1 by
the Starboard stern. The Safety Officer try to warn the crew (possible Threat) on-board the small boat to
move away, but, one of the crew on-board the small boat was pulling a Machete and Threatening the
safety officer by raising and pointing at him. Then, the safety officer reported to Radio Operator about
the Piracy Threat and the Barge Superintendent and Ship Security Officer was notified of a piracy attack
and DCT Leader gathered the Anti-piracy team at Starboard stern location. Monitoring and preparing
and activating the Fire Hose.
DRILL SEQUENCE:
 Pre- Drill Briefing was given by the Ship Security officer
 A Crew spotted a small boat approaching the barge from stern
 Immediately informed to Radio Operator (R/O)
1612 hrs
1636 hrs
 R/O informed to Barge Superintendent (B/S) about the situation and do public
announcement to aware other crews.
 B/S informed Anti-piracy team leader check and confirm the situation.
 B/S instructed R/O to alert our Towing Tug about the situation
 Anti-piracy team Leader confirmed and reported to B/S
1637 hrs
1640 hrs






B/S instructed them to gather his team at portside stern
Anti-Piracy Team gathered at starboard stern and was instructed by their leader
APT immediately prepared Fire Hose and connect to the Hydrant
They immediately aim high pressure water to the approaching small craft
Anti-piracy team leader reports to the B/S that the situation was under control
Anti-piracy team members continue to monitor at starboard stern for possible
attempt.
 Drill Stand Down
 Towing tug was notified by R/O
