Reading
Hi Sofia,
We’re on holiday in Malta at the moment. We’re staying
on the island of Gozo for a week! Mum booked the flights
ten days ago so it was a total surprise. I can’t believe we’re
here. We flew from Manchester airport. We aren’t on a
package holiday but Dad booked a fantastic hotel near the
beach. Tomorrow is our last day. ☹
The first day we went to the beach and we all went
swimming and I went surfing too. I wasn’t very good so I
fell into the water a lot!! The following day, we found a
bike shop and got bikes for the day and rode for hours. My
legs hurt after that, but it was fun.
The next day we went on an excursion by coach. First, we
went to the Cittadella – it’s the beautiful old town in
Victoria. We walked round the streets and went to a
museum. The tour guide there was fantastic. I learned all
about the history of the town. Then we went shopping and
I bought some souvenirs for my friends and for me. I got
one for you! We ate lunch in a lovely restaurant and then
in the afternoon we visited the Ggantija Temple. I took
some amazing photos so you can see them when we get
back.
This morning we went out on a boat trip and Mum and I
went diving. Dad stayed with Rob on the boat because he
couldn’t go diving – he’s only seven. We saw hundreds of
fish of all different colours. It was really cool.
