Basic Operations Before the exam, a proctor will reset your calculator(s), after which your BA II Plus will display only two decimal points. To display 9 decimal points, press 2ND . 9. Regardless of how many decimal points are displayed, the exact value is stored in the calculator. There are several basic functions in your BA II Plus. They include 2ND, STO and RCL. Below are their descriptions: Button Function 2ND Access secondary functions (yellow) STO + 0 Store on-screen value into memory (applicable to all numbers) RCL + 0 Recall value from memory (applicable to all numbers) We suggest storing values whenever possible, especially involving improper fractions and recurring decimals. For example, assume you want to store one of your intermediate calculations. With that number on the screen, press STO and 0 to store it in position 0. Then, when you want to use it, press RCL and 0 to recall it from memory. That number will appear on the screen if you did not replace it with another number. If you want to store more numbers, utilize subsequent numbers such as 1 and 2. To exit a function (such as AMORT or BGN), you can either press 2ND CPT or CE|C.
