ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
WOMEN’S MONTH CELEBRATION
Bucay North Elementary School enthusiastically commemorated National Women's Month on
March 21-22, 2024, by hosting two engaging activities. The school arranged an inspiring
assembly to honor the remarkable contributions of women to society, featuring speeches from
influential female role models and showcasing their achievements. Additionally, interactive
workshops were organized to empower and educate students on the importance of gender
equality, fostering discussions on breaking societal barriers and promoting inclusivity.The
school focused on its goal and theme Empowering women in disaster risk reduction
management emergency response.
On March 21, the Bucay National Elementary School (BNES) conducted a pre-announced
earthquake drill in collaboration with the Bucay Fire Station. The drill was followed by a
gathering of the students for additional reminders and guidance on proper emergency
procedures.
Continuing with their commitment to disaster preparedness, on March 22, BNES organized a
Symposium focused on Empowering Women in Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency
Response. The symposium brought together key female officers from the Local Government
Unit (LGU) of Bucay, including MDRRMO (Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and
Management Office) representative Ms. Margaria G. Sanico, PLt. Elvira L. Casionan, Ms.
Marife Batoon, and Fire Officer Ma. Girlie Ann Hafalla. These distinguished women generously
contributed their time and expertise as resource speakers, sharing valuable insights to
enhance the community's ability to respond to potential disasters.Ms. Sanico discussed
accomplishments of the LGU in partnership with the school and its future plans on
strengthening responses in times of calamity or disasters within the school.
PLt.l delivered a comprehensive presentation on the policies concerning children's well-being
and the significant impact of bullying in school environments. Her discussion delved into the
legal intricacies of ensuring child safety and also offered practical tips for dealing with
instances of bullying within the school setting.
FO1, Hafalla, provided an extensive analysis of crisis management during times of disaster,
imparting valuable knowledge to the participants on effectively handling emergencies such as
fires or earthquakes. She offered insightful guidance on addressing various scenarios
involving both natural and man-made disasters, equipping the audience with practical
strategies for managing such critical situations.
Ms. Batoon provided valuable insights during her Rainy Season wellness talk, focusing on key
concerns that arise during the rainy season. She offered in-depth education to the learners
and participants on effective strategies to prevent common illnesses such as dengue and flu,
while emphasizing the critical role of proper hygiene in maintaining good health.
The remarkable women who contributed to the women’s month celebration made an
invaluable impact. Their knowledge not only educated the learners but also served as a source
of inspiration, motivating individuals to strive for excellence within their community.

CHILDREN’S MONTH CELEBRATION
On November 10, 2023, Bucay North Elementary School celebrated the 31st National
Children’s Month with a vibrant and meaningful opening program. The school adopted the
theme “Healthy, Nourished, Sheltered: Ensuring the Right to Life for All” and organized
engaging activities to mark the occasion.
In the morning of November 6, the BNES student council officers took charge of a reading
program at the school. They organized various reading activities that included storytelling
sessions and thought-provoking questions to engage the learners.
Later in the afternoon, talented artists from each class conducted a poster-making contest
centered around this year’s theme. The contest aimed to provide a platform for students to
showcase their creativity and express their understanding of the importance of being healthy,
nourished, and sheltered. These activities were designed with the purpose of nurturing the
students' potential and contributing to their overall growth and development.
On the 24th of November, 2024, BNES (abbreviation not defined) marked the grand finale of
its month-long celebration by hosting a special feeding program for the learners. This program
was made possible through a collaborative effort involving dedicated sponsors and various
stakeholders who shared the common goal of promoting and supporting the health and overall
wellness of the learners. The event aimed to not only feed the learners but also to foster strong
partnerships and emphasize the importance of ensuring the well-being of the learners in the
community.
