ART MUSEUM 1 Art Museum Student’s Name Institutional Affiliation ART MUSEUM 2 Art Museum Van Gogh Museum ART MUSEUM The Bogd Khaan Palace Museum 3 ART MUSEUM 4 Laing Art Gallery Personal Reflection I have seen paintings portrayed in the museum in my virtual tour of the art museums. For instance, I was able to get inside the Laing Art Gallery and saw some paintings displayed at the center of the room. Though it is not clear about the details of the data, the painting is a beautiful woman in dark clothing with both hands resting on her chest. Also, the Van Gogh Museum in the Netherlands is an art museum with a lot of beautiful work of art displayed outside the building, as described in the picture outside the building. The display is an explicit instruction of the individual approaches; the museum appreciates the culture and art in the country. The paintings were the initial paintings of Van Gogh, who is believed to have the most paintings in the museum, with over 200 artistic works. Reflecting on the use of colors from the readings, I can say that the woman in the picture ART MUSEUM 5 is in a black outfit, suggesting mourning. True to this, we can see the woman is gloomy and sad. The effects resonate with the use of color elements in the paintings. Finally, I can see the use of sculptures at the entrance of the Bogd Khaan Palace Museum in China. The art sculpture shows two cabs lying down on both sides of the entrance of the art museum. The paintings and sculptures play an essential role in demonstrating the history of the community and the surrounding that we should appreciate. Challenges The main challenge about the paintings and sculptures that we see when taking a virtual tour is the clarity of the events. Despite being told the history of the events that transpired the events in the artwork, we cannot get the right picture behind the artist’s mind. Besides, the artists leave any suggestions for the viewers, hence coming up with conclusions from the picture. My take from the events is that we may not get the right picture of the events when we have many people with different variations in writings about the events. Also, the individual perceptions may found its way into the museums, where every visitor will be made to believe in the writings about the events. The information may not be from the artists themselves, which poses bogus information that is passed from generation to generation in as long as the sculpture is still in existence. For example, the painting of a woman in the Laing Art museum does not give us a clear image of the events and the mood she was. The woman may be assumed to be in a grieving mood because of her dark outfit, which may not be accurate because some religions use the black outfit on many occasions, which may not necessarily be grieving like Muslims.
