REFLECTION For the past semester, I’ve learned nothing but solitude. In the last essay answered, the question asked was that did I ever enjoy doing the work independently across all assignments? And all hell breaks loose when I realized we barely did any group activity in PE, but it doesn’t mean the subject was any less. It was just that, maybe all the activities answered was for my own good, not just for compliance. All along it was for selfreflection, and for the betterment of my physical and mental well-being, and I think, that is what exactly Physical Education is for. I have a love and hate relationship with tasks that require lots of reflecting back, or even just writing essays about certain topics I barely touch such as recreational activities, creating your own food plate, or listening to your favorite song. It’s a hassle for me, and I spend my time in doing something else because I’d rather not touch the memories I had, especially when it comes to family bonding, which I rarely encounter because I live far away from them. Having to do activities that require relatives makes me doubt my own paper because it’s so hard to reach them out, but in doing so, I was able to reconnect with them again when I get home, which is the only time I’ll ever get to spend with them, and I thank the activities for that. Another is that one activity that required to create a journal of writing or expressing your own thoughts while you’re under a tree. Mind that it was after a long week in school, and just sitting there quietly with a pen and paper made me scramble all sorts of thoughts that had been lingering my mind just because I was self-reflecting everything that happened and how I let go of myself while I was doing Academics. It helped in a way to bring myself back together despite the hardships I went through, and that I could tread my way out. Physically, the activities had a lot of walking, running, and swimming. Lots of exercises were done such as the schedule for FITT, which enabled me to do more cardio than I usually do (which by the way, I got tired quickly, and it’s an indication). My body felt energized and I feel a lot better moving so much without extending my body composition. Moreover, the food plate I made helped me be aware of what I place in my body and what I should be mindful of. It also made me reminisce my love for cooking. Overall, the semester gave me both a boost for the mind and the body. Everything was soulful moving in different ways for the betterment of thyself. Furthermore, being and doing things alone isn’t really that bad, or at least for me, I’ve realized I really like working alone. And that ends my reflection, thank you for reading!
