A Surprise Planned for A
Teacher
Mrs Wong is Laura’s favourite English
teacher. Mrs Wong is retiring from her
job. Laura wanted to have a big
surprise party for her teacher Mrs
Wong. Laura wanted Mrs Wong to
remember her. So, she was planning to
have a surprise party. She planned to
have banners, balloons, strawberry
cake because Mrs Wong likes
strawberry cake and a homemade card
for her.
First, she made a card. She gathered
several items like scissors, glue, paper
colouring materials and many more!
She started making a card, then she
baked a strawberry cake with her
mother. While they were waiting for
the cake to bake, they blew a lot of
balloons. There are red, blue, yellow,
green and her favourite colours, that
are purple, pink, light blue and black
too!
While the cake is baking, she made
a banner that said, Thank You Mrs
Wong! Then Laura decorated the
surprise party banner. ‘’Thing’’ from
the kitchen oven. Her mother shouted’’
Laura the cake is ready!’’ When her
mother took out the strawberry cake
that they made, it was very hot. So, her
mother let the strawberry cake cooldown for a while. After that she
gathered some rainbows star sprinkles,
vanilla cream, strawberries, and
different flavours of macaroons. After
the cake has cooled-down Laura
started to decorate the strawberry
cake. It took a while to prepare the
surprise party for Mrs Wong. After all
that Laura and her mother made a
invitation for Mrs Wong surprise party.
The invitation said ‘’Dear Mrs Wong,
Tomorrow, you are retiring so Laura
wanted to celebrate this moment. Can
you come to our house tomorrow for a
surprise party? The time is 1.00
o’clock-2.00 o’clock. Our address is
block 942 Tampines Ave 5 level 6 door
no.#942.

The next day when Laura and her
mother got the reply, they read
Dear Laura’s Mother,
I will be willing to go to your house.
You said that you will be celebrating
my surprise party because I will be
retiring. Thank you and I will never
forget this letter. I will be coming at
1.00 o’clock

After Laura and her mother read that
letter, Laura jumped as she was as
happy as a lark.
After the surprise party was over,
Mrs Wong whispered to Laura and
said’’ Laura I will never forget you.
After this party I felt very proud of
teaching you. I want to say I felt as
happy as a lark.
